was away this weekend and just heard about the Eriksson Elk deal.

I was a big fan of the RNH deal for the oilers so I suppose I should like this one, but it feels like more of a gamble to me. Could be an absolute stud of a contract, but I don't think he has shown enough yet.

Kivlenieks, 24, died from a fireworks mortar blast and chest trauma, according to Inspector Mitch Brown of the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office.

Looks like there will be some churn among Carolina’s depth forwards. According to a Facebook post, Jordan Martinook’s family thinks he’s going to the open market, and there are Warren Foegele trade talks. Both player and team appear to want a change.

Foegele has 1 more year left at 2M and will be a good middle 6 add for some team. 10 goals, 10 assists in 53 games and plays a pretty physical game.

shit bums me out man, people don't respect explosives in general, mix in some alcohol and a party and stuff like this happens

came really close to getting torched one time in the desert, some jackass put a sobe bomb in the fire without telling anyone and it fell over.. sucks when people don't account for bystanders

Foegele put up 0.9 G/60 and 10 goals at ES in limited minutes, and Canes fans don't seem to think it'll cost much to acquire him given that they believe he wants out so he can get a bigger opportunity. I think Arvidsson was a great pickup for anywhere in the top 6, and Foegele would be excellent to bolster the top 9 on top of being in the perfect bridge age range with Iafallo and Kempe.

The only issue I see is that we aren't the greatest trade partners. They have a great prospect pool at forward and it is now uncharacteristically light on the backend with Fleury traded, Bean or Skjei likely gone in expansion, and Hamilton possible leaving. That being said, we have plenty of picks and perhaps it could be a larger trade with multiple pieces to help alleviate their expansion worries.

Just like Vegas, the Lightning lost that game because their power play couldn't get it done. Lightning will finish them off at home in front of a full building.

Credit to Montreal for killing off the 4-minute minor to Weber. Tampa fans will likely see their team skate the Stanley Cup on Wednesday night.
 


I love the Anderson drive down the ice, i love that Caufield stops in the no-fly zone in front of the net to make the play, and Anderson then teaches Joe Thornton how to execute a proper turtle shell slide
