Around The League Thread | Let the Games Begin

Depending on which cities get a team, teams will k ow their timeline. Houston is the quickest to be ready as they have their arena. Atlanta next but will need 3 years from the award date before arena is completed. Need to get all permits and plans approved before shovels hit the ground. Arizona, don’t foresee an nhl only arena. Figure it has to be with the suns. Those are the NHL’s desired targets first.

But right now can’t worry about a potential ED. Just be smart with nmc and ED protections to your ufas.

Developing Defence is something the Canucks really need to improve upon. Been nearly a decade from when Benning took charge and if you didn’t walk right into the nhl the A wasn’t going to help you get to the nhl. Hope it turns around now with PA and company.

Well, provided the Canucks don't trade them away, there is some hope that Willander, D-Pettersson, Mynio, Kudryavtsev or Dorrington might round into useful players over the next few seasons. Time will tell, of course.

2 of them are in the A. 2 are in college. And 1 in the WHL. All are likely to spend time in the AHL. Maybe, outside chance Wallinder can go from NCAA to NHL, but can't put that in stone.

Oil down three without mcdavid is an auto loss, and they've had one of the softest schedules to start too.

Kinda stumbled/tripped over the blueline fell and slid along the boards a bit, didn't look like anything much or obvious.

The injuries that don’t look like much are typically pretty concerning since they already said he won’t be coming back. Yeah, they ain’t a playoff team without him

I already bet they weren't a playoff team with him and so far this season they're not looking good very often.

Just because drai is signed I still think there's a path to one or both not there in a couple years, especially if this season is a mess (looks like yes).

Shout out to the real ones who saw how bad their summer/roster was, only going to get worse once they overpay Bouchard and Skinner.

Canucks cup chances with the chef looking up though!

Upon slow motion replay, he did get tripped up. Looks like it was Werenski. Nothing vicious but looks like McDavid's left ankle goes awkwardly into the boards. Hopefully, nothing is broken, but an ankle sprain can linger for multiple weeks.
