I know Georgiev had a good 22-23 season, but other than that, he's never passed the eye test or the vibe test.
Not saying he did. Just that neither have the guys that have replaced him. Overall the numbers suggest that over the long term there isn’t going to be an actual difference in quality.

Maybe not long term but Colorado needs a short term fix.

I am still hoping he turns it around..... maybe it's wishful thinking. Seems like everything that could go wrong in Nashville is going wrong

I wouldn't be holding my breath. The guy was trash already last year but playing with Kucherov managed to keep his production decent.

... and the Rangers lose again, to the hapless Blackhawks. Man did their management make a mess when there was no mess that needed to be made.

Regarding the NYW Rangers losing to the Chicago Bedards, in Chinese there's an idiom called 画蛇添足, literally means sketching feet on a snake, indicating an unnecessary move that disrupted or ruined something that was otherwise doing just fine.

Laine in the few games he's back has been quite a factor for Habs, hopefully he can continue to regain control of his career.

Long ways away but I expect a Bedard version of the "50 shades of Shea" thread we had just before the Weber offersheet if Chi keeps fumbling their rebuild all the way to Bedards free agency.

Would be nice to see a talented 1st overall pick only accept a 3 or 4 year deal and put a deadline on the team to improve.
Hard for anyone to turn down 8 figures annually. Not that I have a clue of what his value is at the moment. Beniers had a strong rookie year at 2/3 PPG, then dropped last season to about 1/2 PPG. Still on a 1/2 PPG pace this season. But, got 7 years at over $7 mill AAV.

At best for other fans, you see Bedard doing a Matthews/Crosby when they did their 2nd deals and went 5 years, 1 UFA year.

Powers/Sanderson/Faber/Seider got into the $8 mill range as Dmen recently. Should see Wyatt Johnston set the bar on his deal IMO. Best performing ELC forward, all around right now.
