I know Georgiev had a good 22-23 season, but other than that, he's never passed the eye test or the vibe test.

Not saying he did. Just that neither have the guys that have replaced him. Overall the numbers suggest that over the long term there isn’t going to be an actual difference in quality.

Yep. COL with even passable goaltending is terrifying.

Passable is their floor now imo.. I think they win the division now handily.

I wouldn't be holding my breath. The guy was trash already last year but playing with Kucherov managed to keep his production decent.

Regarding the NYW Rangers losing to the Chicago Bedards, in Chinese there's an idiom called 画蛇添足, literally means sketching feet on a snake, indicating an unnecessary move that disrupted or ruined something that was otherwise doing just fine.

Laine in the few games he's back has been quite a factor for Habs, hopefully he can continue to regain control of his career.

I think its great when a team is rewarded for taking a flyer out on a player thats a little down and out of it. Laine has had a rough go the past few years, glad he's having fun in Montreal
