This Boston /Isles series is excellent.

The Bruins perfection line is as deadly and dangerous to contain today as they were 5 years ago.

Great Isles coaching however puts NY is in the drivers seat now going home.

Habs are the true Kings of the North in a 4 game sweep and sitting right where I where I thought my Leafs would be losing only 2-3 on their way to making the final 4.

Only Montreal was able to reach the floor of final 4 or bust for the CDN Div.

I get that, but if I were the Habs I'd want to keep rolling. 7 straight wins? Fans in the stands? Underdog story? I'd want to play every night.

Not sure time to plan and think about what they've done so far is their ideal situation

That's how you run out of gas the deeper you get into round 3 against an elite team. And no time to heal bumps and bruises

This Habs team is very different than the one from the regular season. The covid outbreak forced a condensed schedule on Mtl mid-season. Then, a slew of injuries (Price, Weber, etc...) ravaged the team mainly in the latter part of the season. Finally, the arrival of Caufield transformed the powerplay in the playoffs. Combine this with Price's performance and with the removal of Drouin (least effective player on the team for a few years now), and you have a "fresh" new Habs team that play smart and tough, and is more talented than people give them credit for. There is no Matthews on the team, but all four lines can and will score on you at 5 vs 5.

Are you okay, Mess? Did you have a stroke while writing this post?

Jets are mediocre 5on5 team and that’s I wanted leafs to face them instead of habs in the first round.
I wonder what the oilers are thinking..getting swept by a team who then got dominated and swept in the second round.

I never understood the love for the Jets this season when they were a bottom tier team 5 on 5. Hellebuyck and a good PP can only take you so far.

They need a new coach. Badly.

That’s how you finish teams off. Full credit to the habs. They’re playing good hockey. Toffoli was a good pick up and I think there defense has been excellent. Shutting opposing teams offence down...Unfortunately for them, I don’t think the next series will be as easy.

You know what, good for the Habs. I hope the fail miserably in the next round (I have to) but they made it to round 3. Pissed me off how every forward of theirs just seems to go the tough areas, even the small guys. Hopefully Bergevin gets a nice contract extension.

But LOL @ the Jets.

I get your thought process, I just think they'd want to keep rolling.

The danger in the underdog story is them stopping to think about how far they've come and how much they've accomplished.

I would put the odds of Montreal winning 2 games against Vegas/Colorado at around 10%.

The hockey world is about to see just how pitiful the North Division truly is.

I would say they'll be lucky to win 1.

They put on a clinic in the 3rd period. Jets had only two shots or something like that. Habs deserved to win this game. Didn’t let up one bit.

jets should be thanking God they got a softie on Price for this to even get to OT.

Did you know only the Stanley Cup champs TB with 35 games have played more playoff games the past 2 years than Lou Lam's NYIs with 33.
Meanwhile, somewhere in Toronto
