Posted this on the main board but if you want to see everything that is wrong with Jack Johnson's game in 5 seconds and why he will be minus forever, just take a gander at Zucarello's goal.

Dylan Larkin is slaying it. Kinda figured he would but he's making the NHL look easy already. I guess the Leafs may not really be the NHL but you get my point :sarcasm:

Guys like that are why I have hope for the Kings in the next few years.

Poor Bernier. That trade to Toronto is going to end up being the death knell on his career.

Toronto is a goaltending graveyard. Playing there has completely damaged his mental game. He has let in some backbreaking goals and also gets very little support from the five skaters on the ice.

I do feel bad for him (if what he said was true), but the Twitter posts are embarrassing. You're a grown man dude. Act like one.

Colin Miller making his NHL Debut tonight with the Bruins vs the Habs on NHL Network, 7 pm EST

Also, although I've heard Chara and Rask's names mentioned, hearing from the NESN that depending on where the team is 20 to 25 gams in, Krecji might be a deadline option. Understable due to his turning 30 this year but at 7.25M thru 2021, giving his injury history, not the easiest move with most teams in CAP straits.
STill, it would appear they should be looking to rebuild and the longer they hold onto him, the lower his value will be.

The Islanders are playing their home games at the MGM Grand? Embarrassing.

Yup, sounds about right. Overall a disappointing experience. Priced many fans out of tickets and then tried to sell on secondary market. Left a lot of empty seats in the arena.

Kings' prospects playing in their first NHL Game tonight:

Brian O'Neill (#18) will play tonight for the New Jersey Devils. A one-hour version of the game willl air on NHL Network on Sunday from 12-1 pm PST.

It is a minor surprise that O'Neill is playing tonight after Hynes talked the last couple of days about him needing practice time to get used to the Devils' system after coming over from the Kings. O'Neill had only one full practice with the team, but it is clear Hynes wanted to make changes to his lineup after he was not satisfied with how his team played in Friday's loss, so giving O'Neill a chance tonight made more sense.

“He had one full practice and then he had the (morning skate) yesterday and in both practices we worked on some things we wanted to do,” Hynes said. “Systematically, there's not a huge change from where he came from. He's a bright player. We're in back-to-back games. We think he's a guy that brings speed and some compete on the puck. Like we said, we want to be a competitive team. We didn't we were as competitive as we needed to be last night on the puck and, therefore, fresh guys and guys get a new opportunity. We've got to find a lineup that's going to be extremely competitive.”

Hynes said O'Neill will play wing tonight, but hadn't decided his line combinations yet.

I'll have more on O'Neill's NHL debut later.

Colin Miller (#48) will make his debut for the Boston Bruins tonight (in a game against the Montreal Canadiens,) being paired with Morrow. The game will air today at 4 pm PST on the NHL Network.

Both teams are coming off losses in their season openers.

There is a chance that J.F. Berube will play tonight for the New York Islanders, but they might just choose to play Greiss again, who played last night.
