He will ask for more and he deserves it since he won more individual awards than AM and is a better playoff performer and a regular season performer.
I would argue that scoring more points and being a better playoff performer are not necessarily the same thing and more to the point I disagree

He'll also handcuff a team (hopefully Edmonton) with his ridiculous salary. Draisaitl may be better in the playoffs, but he's also the biggest baby I've ever seen.

Damn, I thought the Panthers would not be a threat starting the season with a number of key injuries.

The East is so bunched up.

The Leafs will most likely be out of a playoff spot when they get back from Sweden, or at least until American Thanksgiving with only 3 games in 12 days.
Why? They are playing Detroit and Minnesota. They should steamroll both of those teams, regardless of where they are playing.

Even so...

Even with those 4 points with other teams having 5 gamea in the same timeframe it wouldn't be surprising to drop out.

Then the schedule gets busy and they will be right back in

It'll be time to come home son, soon.

He is legit pissed off on what exactly?

His agent was hired to be oilers CEO
His junior line mate in connor brown was signed as a UFA
His junior coach was recently hired to coach the oilers

Does he want a GM change?

The Plot Thickens!!!

If I put on my Tinfoil hat for a second, maybe it's the other way around. McJesus told them he wants out and the hiring of late is just the last-ditch effort to make him stay.

Kane to Buffalo.
"I want to win a Cup. So I'm signing with a team that has been rebuilding for the past decade without once being close to a playoff spot."

Got to love Gallagher, smallest guy on the team with the biggest heart. The Leafs should take note……….
At this point in his career, all Gallagher is is a wasted roster spot. Unless you need someone who specializes in taking cheap wacks at the opposing goalie.

Oilers situation is getting really interesting… if McDavid does want out, that would be something else

While I will forget all if he ever agrees to force his way to the Leafs, but I can't help but roll my eyes at all that "McDavid will do anything to lead the team to win" stuff we heard this summer

McDavid could have and should have demanded a trade years ago from that tire fire of an organization. Not a single person would've blamed him.

It's so mindboggling to me that the Oilers would go through the lengths of bringing on McDavid's agent and junior coach to "keep the player happy"... all the while turning it into such a conflict of interest, inmates running the asylum vibe around the organization and then putting McDavid into an even weirder light. Talk about doing creepy stuff that ends up backfiring.
