Tampa is going to have some decisions to make. If they want to be ruthless, they should be moving on this season from Stamkos, Kucherov, Hedman and Vasi (appreciating that you can't trade all of them in a single season). At the very least, Stamkos should be traded to try to restock the draft pool.
With everything they have done for the organization I doubt they do.

Unless they come to them and say they want to a chance to win in the next few years, I think they try and retool/rebuild with them

f***ing bruins injuring all the players in the atlantic division and no action

Just realized how short of tenure Woodcroft had with Edmonton… he took over for Tippett two years ago, improving the team to. Conference final run.

And last year a 50-win season before a second round exit.

Seems like he was the sacrificial lamb for Holland’s inability to surround their core with better depth, defense, and goaltending.

And we have sheldon keefe whose achievement in more time than woody has been one series win only to get embarassed in the 2nd round; yet he still coaches the leafs

I don’t hold much hope for Kane after seeing Backstrom come back from hip resurfacing surgery.

He won’t be the same player as before.

I can see him going to Panthers.

He's basically a depth scorer who can probably give a team's PP a boost .. in the Leafs' case he wouldn't see the top unit (though it'd be an option)

I really don't see the fit with the Leafs personally.

Something insane is Campbell’s doing worse in the ahl vs nhl

NHL: 1-4-0 .873 3.41GAA
AHL: 0-3-0 .833 4.00GAA

It’s not even the AHL defence as Rodrigue and Pickard have .920+

At this point I just feel awful for him, f*** the money. The stress this must be putting on him is really really terrible.

Kind of puts to bed that the Leafs 4 are coach killers. Lol

Sandin played 26 minutes tonight. Caps after a slow start are playing well.
Jarry and Pit seem to have stabalized the ship a little as well. Karlsson has been great there. On the interest of meaningful games into April, I hope the East stays bunched up

Devils are bad lol
Watched last 10 or so mins....jets all over em

To be fair, it's hard to win without your top two Cs/best players. At least Hughes is due back later this week.

Are the Caps actually decent?!? Lindgren has been pretty good. Have to imagine they'll ride him over Kuemper for a bit.

Our biggest problem year after year in the playoffs has been a lack of scoring. He may still be able to provide that when it's needed.

Same question for the Blues and Ducks. Blues have been dummying teams lately lol

Those 3 teams are certainly my biggest (positive) surprises so far
Carberry seems like a smart coach from what I've seen. He also has let the young guys play unlike Laviolette who kept riding the aging vets. Not sure if this will last but he does have them playing as a "team" and has brought accountability too.

Not sure what Kirk Muller is doing with that PP but it's dead last in the league at 7.3%

Interesting how everyone piled on me when I kept saying that Tampa was done. Look at them now. It isn't a goaltending issue for them, so Vasi's return won't make much of a difference (and I think he will continue to struggle anyway).
