Because we paid a shit load of money to 4 young greedy grifting cowards and kept swapping deck chairs on the Titanic trying to surround said cowards with the only players we could fit with the limited cap space (of which these 4 players were the primary cause). We then neglected youth by throwing away draft picks on futile rental acquisitions and completely failed to address the goalie position. We horribly lack depth due to the sustained years of lack of picks and have no cap space with which to rebuild the depth. Oh, and we never found a goalie yet inexplicably were prepared to re-sign the GM that had both hands in this over 5 year tragedy of mismanagement and cowardice. The man most responsible for all of this ass-fisting of an era is still here.
