With McDavid getting his 4th consecutive 100 point season he is now one of only 14 people to have a streak of 4 or more.

However, in the covid season that ended early he had 97. Assuming he got 3 points in the next 15 he would have a streak of 8 seasons now, only behind Gretzky at 13. (2nd is 6 season by a bunch of ppl)

It's really too bad because that Gretzky record feels doable if not for covid Passing that group for 2nd longest all time feels like a sure thing

Ovi having a shot at the goal record makes me think McDavid could catch Gretzky… he needs to basically average 100 points per season for the next 10 years. Seems crazy but if he can put up 5-6 more 120-140 point seasons before he declines, there a chance

I think you mean get to 2000 points.

Mcdavid needs like 1900 more to catch Gretzky. Unless he pulls a Jagr and buys the Oilers so he gets a life time contract that's not happening

Going to be fascinating what happens with the Sens. They are just losing left, right and center right now. They only sold Tarasenko at the deadline and they only have about 13M of cap space this off-season with Pinto to sign which will take a big chunk of that. They have terrible goaltenders signed into next year. They have a brand new President that gave himself the GM position as well as no coach yet.
