No reason to think he doesn’t love the team, he always has.
Are you implying that he needs to take a discount or he doesn’t love it here?

Yeah I would expect he’ll sign early, somewhere between Nylander and Matthews
Exactly, no point dragging unless he wants closer to AM. Which he either win the Conn Symthe, but if he does, Leafs will offer that on July 1. Or he plays lights out from the get go and bet on himself like Willie. But seeing how he started over the past few seasons, I don't think thats a good idea to bet on himself early.
Like I said, just take a hair under 12mil and everyone will be thrill.

For some whatever he signs for it will be too much but I agree, he won’t want it to drag out. It’ll get done pretty quick

Detroit is simply not a good 5 on 5 team, and I'm not sure how long Lyon's heroics and their shooting percentage luck will continue. They're probably too far in to fall out of the playoffs (and because the Midtro teams suck), but wouldn't shock me if it happens

I believe his camp was pissed that Lou Lam squeezed him on his rookie contract. I’m not imaging that the next contract was contentious and there was every indication that his father and agent were going for every single penny they could get. They did a great job taking Dubas to the cleaners good on them.
If he has a great love for the team I’d expect exactly as you say somewhere between 34and 88, if sabre rattling begins that he wants to be equal or very close to 34 I’d say history is about to repeat itself,

Boston getting absolutely pasted by the Islanders. Great opportunity for the Leafs to cut the deficit tonight.

I'm chearing for Islander and Pens tonight.

Pens need one or two wins in a row for Kyle to get out with his credit card.

Good, let them get it out of their system before they play Toronto.
Won't matter. Buffalo isn't beating this Leafs team.

Anyone notice that the Leafs are doing exactly what the Panthers did in the second half of last season? Interesting comparison.

I don't know bc if they do that regularly, people will be use to it
Look at when they started talking about how physical the Tampa series likely would be. Leafs suggest they might have to get physical and fight back? Instant league attention and the creation of the most penalized series in the last 5 years!

The league still has bad memories of the Pat Quinn Leafs in their heads; if the Leafs even hinted they were trying to play the way Florida does, the NHL would start treating them like they were the Broad Street Bullies reincarnated.

That’s only bc they announced they will be physical. It is like telling the league, we are going to goon it up.
Just do it shift in and shift out and don’t say a thing.

Pittsburgh is terrible. Blew a 3-1 lead and have allowed the 4-3 Flames goal with less than a minute to go.

No surprise Dubas is doing the complete opposite of his mandate to get the team into the playoffs, rather he's taking them to the basement of the league after trading his own first round pick.

The Hockey Gods are writing some of the best scripted comedy one could ask for.

Some people sign a contract like that and check out. Naz has never had a personality like that. Proud of him and he will give Calgary everything he can until the end.

What a goal.
I am glad he got to do that against that jackass Dubas and his geriatric team. Must feel good to put a dagger in their playoff chase after that man traded him away for a scrub like Tyson f***ing Barrie.

Also lmfao at Dubas and his defence building. They got dangled by Calgarys mid offence a dozen times tonight. No sense of how to build a team.

Loved the clip of him showing Spezza how to use a tablet properly when really what should be happening in the pressbox is Jason teaching Dubas how the game of hockey is played from someone who actually has a clue what they're talking about, having lived it.

I can’t read that name without getting visibly upset. Thank you for that. Because of the factors involved I don’t have more distain for any leaf player like I do for Barrie. But my hate should be directed towards Dubas for making that trade.

As I said, no clue how to build a team. Trading gamers away every year. Imagine this team with like Kadri and Hyman instead of robot man.
