Nice to see Detroit sprinkle a little salt on the wounds of the delusional Sens fans that think they still have any chance at the post season.

To be fair, the Senators never said when their era of unparalleled success would start.

Tampa Bay getting destroyed lately too. 9-2 to Florid and then lose to the Sens tonight.

Toronto is 3 points ahead of TB with 3 games in hand
Toronto is 4 points ahead of DET with 1 game in hand

We will likely up as A3

I think Tampa is just going through what every multi-championship team eventually goes through. Once the important depth guys have moved on for more money elsewhere, it's hard to keep the ship together. No shame in what's happening to them now. It's the cost of winning.

At least. A2 is not out of reach
I think second in the division is more likely than third. Boston has the toughest schedule in the league down the stretch (for whatever that is worth, I guess), but more importantly they are struggling mightily at the moment. The leafs will obviously need to win their two games in hand, but the opportunity to pass Boston is there if they can also take 3 of 4 points from the two games remaining against Boston. In any event, I don't think they will even need home ice advantage to beat Boston in the first round.

Not sure I’d go that far personally, but I do think Boston is potentially catchable.

There were actually 3 hat-tricks yesterday in that Canucks/Wild game.

McDavid also has 50 assists in his last 34 games.
Don't often see this:

It's kind of wild the Devils are currently out of the playoffs. Their goaltender woes are really bad uh? They've also had some big injuries as well... but their depth seemed very good.

Yeah, they’ve had a real rough go in net. That said, I wouldn’t be shocked if they take either Tampa or Detroits spot before it’s all said and done.

If I was a betting man and had some "fun money" to play with, I would have put some money down on the Devils winning the Cup this year before the season started. They seem(ed) to have all the tools necessary to do so, and their trajectory was rocketing skyward.

I have them at the top of my list of biggest surprises/disappointments this year.
