Beautiful goal from Byfield.
You'll see that one on the highlight reel.
The bad news is that Lindholm has found a 30 goal pace in a Canucks uniform.Canucks are kinda reeling since acquiring Lindholm eh?
Tough to do for 11 games. They have played some good teams to bootFlorida hasn't given up more than 2 goals since January 19th

The margin between winning and losing is very thin. It's why the idea of not actively trying to win this season in favour of trying to win two years from now is a flawed strategy. When you look at their lineup, you would have thought that they got worse from last years team..... a team that only made it into the playoffs on the last day. Then that epic run in the playoffs, and that momentum as carried into this year.
The difference between being a wild card team, and a top team in the league, isn't that much... a couple of players at the most, and maybe playing better together as a team... plus clearly getting good goaltending.
He’s from the Soo, must miss the slag piles both places sre littered with……
What is a flawed strategy is going all in but not being able to read the landscape. Eventually you run out of chips and you have to leave the table with your tail between your legs. The margin between winning and losing is very thin. Bill Zito is by far the best GM in the league. Claimed Forsling off of waivers, traded a 3rd for Montour, OEL, Mikkola and Kulikov signed as free agents. Combined AAV of 11.917. 2nd in the league in goals against.Florida hasn't given up more than 2 goals since January 19th
They also won the President trophy the year before that. When you look at their lineup, you would have thought that they got worse from last years team..... a team that only made it into the playoffs on the last day. Then that epic run in the playoffs, and that momentum as carried into this year.

Eichel is on LTIR again, VGK are ready for new cap shenanigans to win the cup. We never do that as it seems and JT is durable as a cyborg lol.
Uh....the Leafs haven't used LTIR this season? If the Leafs did it the league would crack down on them
What constitutes "all in"? Trading a 20-ish something first round pick in exchange for the chance to potentially improve the roster and maybe make a run through the playoffs? What is a flawed strategy is going all in but not being able to read the landscape. Not to gain an advantage and bring players back for game 1 of the playoffs.Uh....the Leafs haven't used LTIR this season?
I kind of agree.Bill Zito is by far the best GM in the league. Claimed Forsling off of waivers, traded a 3rd for Montour, OEL, Mikkola and Kulikov signed as free agents. Combined AAV of 11.917. 2nd in the league in goals against.
Up-front he signed Vergaeghe, traded for Reinhart, Tkachuk, Bennett etc.
I would trade almost any player on our team to have Zito as our GM.
I would love to see them do it with JT.Not to gain an advantage and bring players back for game 1 of the playoffs.
Exactly. No way Bettman would allow the Leafs to do that.If the Leafs did it the league would crack down on them
