If you think the Leafs have few assets to trade, then take a look at Tampa. I can't imagine they have anything useful to offer for any meaningful player, and they should be selling rather buying. They are a wild card first round exit. I think the bigger threat for a guy like Hanifin is Boston, particularly since he is from the area.

As long as Point, Kucherov, Hedman, Vasy and Stamkos are on the team, TB is not going to be a seller.

They might start a retool this offseason, but they will still go for it this year.

Oh, I know they will try to go for it, but they shouldn't. They will be a wild card team that can't win on the road. That isn't a great recipe for success.

Maybe Washington will do a solid tonight and beat Florida. A couple of wins and the Leafs can be right on them.
