Going back and looking at some of the tweets from 'Sens Twitter' over the summer is f***ing hilarious.

People like @EverydaySens, @SensCentral, @senstalk_, @JackRichardson, and @DLee075 had some absolute BANGER tweets this summer about how excellent the Korpisalo signing was, about how the Sens top 6 is better than the Leafs top 6, about how the Sens D is better than the Leafs D, about how Debrincat was no good (after Debrincat was the best player of all time when they acquired him last year #SummerOfPierre) and about how shrewd of a signing Tarasenko was.

It's only a few months later and the honeymoon phase with Andlauer is over. 'Media' members like Shawn Simpson and Bruce Garrioch don't seem to be tweeting about the Leafs very much anymore. Methot too. They seemed to love to discuss the Leafs over the summer but not so much now.

Brady Tkachuk is discussed as being some incredible leader but he's going to wrap up his 6th NHL season without having even sniffed the playoffs once. All we've seen from him are some hissy fits when the Sens are getting their dicks kicked in.

These people should be sent to a lab and studied. The levels of stupidity are unmatched.

Is it any dumber than all of the Leafs media and fans and their insufferable comments about everything Leafs? It's what fans and media of all teams do. My God, 15 games into this season 90% of the people on this board were skewering everything about the Leafs. Does everyone think they are a "serious" team now? It's all mindless nonsense borne of irrational emotional reactions. It's generally what being a fan is all about. I have no issue criticizing other teams and their management, but I don't think ragging on fans and media members (many of whom are simply fans themselves) has much merit.

I have no problem with that. They are an absolute mess, and actually not that easy to fix because, like Edmonton, they have tied themselves long-term at a high price to a mediocre goalie. Maybe people are finally starting to see that signing goalies to long-term deals is extremely risky and not a good allocation of cap space.

For me, the team to keep an eye on remains Jersey. I don't know if they will get Hamilton back this season given the nature of his injury, but if they know he is out 4 or 5 months (it could actually be longer, which would rule him out until next season) they could use that cap space to acquire a guy like Hanifin. They would also have enough cap space to acquire a goalie if a decent one become available. People aren't talking about them much because of how much they struggled when their top guys were injured, but that could be a very dangerous team.

Brilliant analogy.

Brady Tkachuk would not wear the C for any other team in the league. All l've seen from him lately are hissies about everyone from the opposing goalie to his own team's fans. He possesses no leadership, yet certain Sens fans have their heads so far up his ass, they may never see daylight.

If you want even more of a laugh go read the main board polls. A few are still doubling down that they would prefer Stutzle and Tarasenko over Matthews.

There is presumably a point at which replacing the coach can't make things any worse. I would think Ottawa is at that point. What is the value in keeping Smith in place to oversee yet another lost season? I'm sure he loves the job, but it also can't be easy to stand behind that bench every night while your team lays down and dies.

As frustrating as the Leafs playoff record has been, it is nice to know that they will indeed get to the dance every year.

In a flat cap/hard cap world making tge playoffs for eight straight years is tough to do.

I feel for Sens and Sabres fans who have been stuck in the rebuild for what seems like forever.

Sabres fans moreso as they have watched Eichel and Reinhart go have success elsewhere
