Was just checking on some ex-Leafs out of curiosity to see how they're doing with their new teams.

Justin Holl went from being a "top-4 D, quality shutdown guy" in Toronto to being a borderline #6/7 in Detroit.

Kerfoot can't even crack Arizona's top-6 most nights and gets about 12 minutes a night of ES TOI.

Does anyone remember the Kadri, Schenn deal for Hedman that Burke said no too becauseche didn't want to include Schenn?

I just watched a video of him speaking about it but don't remember this at all

The schedule this year is beyond f***ing stupid. 14 games one night, 2 the next featuring garbage teams like the Sens and Blue Jackets that no one cares about. Like who tf wants to watch that?

Why can’t we have a nice spread? I feel l’ve missed out on plenty of good games because the Leafs are playing that night.

Talk about a blast from the past. Yeah I remember it now unfortunately. It made sense to a degree at the time but hoooo boy in hindsight does that sting. Burke was such a massive failure here, should have never been hired. That one cup in Anaheim bought him so much clout when he was already years behind the times back in 2010

Well at least gambling is probably a way to keep things interesting when these are the games at our disposal.
Absolutely. Watching an out of market game is so thrilling when you have some scratch on it. Just keep to the code "know your limit and play within it" and don't over bet because those upset losses add up quick. My personal rules are I don't gamble online or apps I go to a store and use proline slips and I keep track of every bet I make to see progress. Some months I'm up some I'm down but it makes watching non Leaf games pretty damn entertaining. Just my 2 cents.

I love watching out of market games too depending on the matchup but the whole gambling scene isn’t my thing. Leafs games piss me off enough from time to time so it’s nice to watch good teams with no emotional or financial attachment. Good rules to follow of course, hope you end up winning some money tonight.

NHL schedule is trash.

How can there be zero games out West today.

Surely there are fans in the Western US and Canada who would like to enjoy a Friday night watching hockey. Garbage
This season's schedule has to be the worst I have seen in my 45 years of watching hockey. Nights with 14 games, then nights with no games. I understand building availability, but how is anyone supposed to stay interested in the product when it seems to take so many nights off?

Without fail, the greatest sporting events I have ever watched have been ones where I had no emotional attachment. Just watching for the love of the sport. Best recent example is the France/Argentina world cup final.

Probably the greatest sporting moment I/most of us have witnessed in our lives.
