Current NMC to 2027-28.

CLAUSE DETAILS: 2028-29: 15 team no-trade list | 2029-30 & 2030-31: 10 team no-trade list
Does that still apply to the Caps? I ask because wasn't precedent set when Visnovsky was traded from Anaheim to the Islanders in 2012?

The arbiter ruled that the NTC in his contract didn't apply because Anaheim was not the team that had signed the contract, as he was a member of the Kings at the time of signing his NTC contract.

If I remember correctly they addressed this in a CBA or some League ruling or something that NMC/NTC details are to be negotiated at the time of the trade.

Update in 2020 MOU: No-Trades & No-Moves travel with the Player when traded or waived. This means that if a player is traded before the clause goes into effect, the clause will no longer be removed with the new team. If players have already lost their clause due to being traded prior to it starting, they will not be re-instated.

PLD has absolutely no reason to put in effort.

He can't be sent down as punishment because of the NMC.

He makes 22M+ over the next two seasons.

And the 1/3 buyout window has passed. He gets paid 34.5M more even if the caps had to buy him out next summer.

Life is good for PLD. He's all set. Special thanks to Luc and Blake.

When Luc is still running things in 10 years there will be a PLD "Legends Night!"

The goalie coach in Ontario is Jim Hiller's kid and Jason Allison works for the Kings as some sort of consultant.

Every organization has former players in some sort of role, but I think there are more late 90s/early 00's Kings getting AEG checks along with guys from the Cup era.

Modry? O'Donnell? Stoll. Matt Greene? Did they sneak Craig Johnson back in somewhere again?

Now do a few more teams, and you'll find it pretty common. The problem here... NOBODY are good at their jobs.

Missing ...Pat Brisson, the real mastermind behind that sorry lot .

Just for the Kings, or for all 32 NHL teams who do the same thing?

Nepo isnt the cause but a symptom of bad leadership - starting with AEG - Absent Executive Group

Is he really a nepo hire after being with the team for 16 years and working his way up the ladder?

His father is a chairman board member,

I'm sorry if people are calling Blake a friend hire, or Murray/Emerson etc a friend hire, this is the same thing, everyone that was listed has put their time in.....

Oh wow a single promotion?

Johnjm literally put 5 former teammates/buddies of the president.

If it's that common, you can surely find a few teams that have as many or more working in similar capacities.

I have, every time this bullshit rears its head, you just won't pay attention....again....

It's common for organizations to have former players in key positions. But for an organization to have this many former teammates of the president in key roles is probably not normal.

When I Google "LA Kings Staff," I don't see a comprehensive list in the results.

On the other hand, when I Google "Florida Panthers Staff" I get very detailed results directly from the Panthers website:

The Kings' website appears to only have the coaching staff:

Symptomatic of how the organization is run?
