I'd like to believe this, although I don't know why that phrase would ignite Stecher's anger.

Edit: Zegras also got a 10-minute misconduct, which suggests he said something which crossed a line.

Troy Stecher of all people going from a 0 to 10 in less than 3 seconds flat says otherwise.

Also Zegras has been running his mouth non-stop the past 2 seasons… There’s no doubt he’s getting cocky as AF.

I'm not saying it's unreasonable. I just think he said something more malignant than "there's kids watching" considering Stecher's response and the misconduct penalty. It takes a lot for the refs to penalize a player for just saying something.

yeah i'd love to be proven wrong honestly, but knowing zegras it's gonna be "i did nothing wrong lol" and i highly doubt stecher is gonna say anything because hockey player

i like the way the kid plays hockey but i'm not gonna shed any tears for him when he gets his brains scrambled either if this is how he chooses to handle himself

Remember, there's history there with AZ, with the Zegras/Terry - Beagle incident, where they were up 5-0 on the Yotes with Zegras stabbing the goalie before diving, Terry coming to his rescue to get pummeled, then Zegras going to the media with it.

I'd like to think he didn't say THAT but there's obviously a little extra juice on it and he's got a bit of a rep now. Dude is huffing his own farts after the overhype.
