If that's the case then Blake needs to be savvy and do the same, he needs all the help he can get. If you're not cheating you're not trying to win. Just look at the Astros, Redsocks, Patriots...
Part of me agrees with this since bringing Kempe and Arvidsson back just a few weeks before playoffs is dumb when you could just sit them those extra weeks and get an extra $9 mil to play with.

But more cap space would also mean more bad trades and setting the franchise back another couple years so I’m fine with playing by the rules for now lol.

So Cal
the way EDM/VEGAS/COL have loaded up and knowing that Vancouver/Dallas are already solid solid teams.....Kings should be sellers without question.

Interesting to see Byram traded, this is who the Kings apparently really wanted in 2019. He showed flashes of greatness, but also struggled to stay on the ice and had consistency issues in the defensive zone. But even as recently as last season he was producing pretty well from the back-end.

Buffalo now has Dahlin, Power and Byram as LHD and add in Jokiharju and that is a pretty nice young defense core.
They also have Samuelson on the first year of an eight year deal. That’s 4 LD that are taking a lot of cap. Also have Johnson on his first year out of college as a LD.

They have to be trading one, or two.

So Vegas gets Hanifin. Of course. Stone and Eichel will come back for the playoffs and win another cup. How come we don't have a GM that can do this. LOL.

I believe we have first pick when it comes to reclaiming him, and I assume we probably would
From another post with HF Boards regarding waivers:

The original team that waived the player gets no special status to reclaim him--waiver order is processed the same as any other waiver claim.

The only "special" privilege a team has when reclaiming a player is that if a team loses a player on waivers, that player is waived again later that season, and his original team is the only team to put in a claim when he was waived again - then his original team may send him down without asking waivers again.

Not sure why everyone is so shocked JAD was claimed.....he's a SAFE bottom six player who will does what needs to, shows some modicum of offensive ability, is sound defensively.....he's a bottom six player in the NHL....ala Amadio

Amadio is much better than JAD at the moment, though that could change (knowing our luck JAD does well w/ the Preds). JAD is more of a Shore or Weal, barely serviceable.
