Well unfortunately we have some chick on here who’s obsessed with him so we will probably be getting updates for the rest of his life. I get obsessing over some guy who looks like Kempe… but Clifford… oh man.

Also, Thomson waived already by Anaheim, one of those situations where a former high pick is waived and a team with a good waiver priority wants to take a look, Anaheim took a look and he's gone. Pretty damning about his long-term outlook.

That’s the thing with goalies. Everything can change in a year. That contract is horrendous. I hated Quicks contract for that reason alone. 10 years for a goalie who’s strongest skill is athleticism. Absolutely moronic logically speaking.
Don't blame Hellebuyck for a second for signing that deal. The Jets on the other hand...

I thought those guys wanted out of Winnipeg? The deals make sense, 8 years is a lot for a goalie but if you can get 5 years with Helleybuck playing at an elite level and then hope he is a serviceable backup for the remainder, its worth it.
They are one of those teams where you wouldnt be shocked if they made the playoffs but you also wouldnt be shocked if they finished last in the league.
