Vegas is forechecking while up a goal in the last few minutes of the game. I legit hate Todd.
Are you sure they aren't going to get a penalty called against them for breaking the rules? I thought that's why the Kings didn't do it.

Speaking of calling penalties - some Leafs fans are complaining about not getting enough calls, even though they had 11 powerplays to Florida's 9.

And I get it's frustrating when things aren't called, or if a goal gets called back. But they're acting like that's the reason the Leafs lost. Instead of, you know...

Auston Matthews: 2 assists in 5 games
Mitch Marner: 3 points in 5 games
John Tavares: 1 assist in 5 games
William Nylander: 3 points in 5 games

Don’t try to explain parallax to Bissonette his brain will leak out of his cauliflower ears.
In order for there to be a parallax effect, the puck would have to be elevated.

Which it may have been, but it sure looked like it was sliding along the ice surface. Maybe it elevated when it made contact with Bob's pad.

Great work by Gudas here.

He's knows refs are reluctant to call a penalty in this situation (and even if they weren't it's hard to catch), so he just grabs Jarnkrok's stick so he can't make the defensive play.

Center lane drive perfection.

didn't even notice the stick hold from the other angle, i imagine it was equally hard to see for refs on the ice. i thought it was just tied up between his legs and jarnkrok was too focused on the lane

love it

i haven't really dove into this play but i'm not sure parallax matters in the end anyway because they went with the "intent to blow" rule

I think the 'intent to blow' explanation is in reference to the later footage showing the puck in the net under Bob's skate. By that point the play was clearly dead.

The above clip is prior to that.

It looks like the puck may have elevated after bouncing off Bob's pad, which could cause a parallax. But it's really hard to say.

Apparently the NHL has cameras inside the posts? If so, I wonder why they don't release that footage.

I think the puck may have gone in, but the correct call was technically made because it couldn't be conclusively determined that it fully crossed the line before the play was dead.

i'd definitely be upset if it was against me either way, i can see why leafs fans feel a bit hard done but shit gets missed left right and center, it's hockey

nice work by bob and the defenseman to cover it and slide it out while covered though, too bad he followed it up with that abortion that sent it to OT

entertaining none the less

You got Florida! You got Florida!! Right up the kuester.

One more Vegas win...and all the Canadian teams are out again.
The Curse of 93, no Candian team will win the cup until all Canadians who watched the 93 LA vs Mon series have passed on, the Gypsy who placed the Curse has since died, no way to remove it.

The Gudas play doesn't even bother me because if Jarnkrok doesn't go fishing between his legs that never happens, he wasn't getting that stick back anyway once he wrapped up Radko for the can opener, it was overcommitted stick defense before it was a stick hold

It doesn’t bother me because leafs fans are gonna cry about it forever and their tears are delicious.

When a team looses they usually want to blame it on a bad goal or bad penalty call but the leafs series was lost when they went down 3-0. From the start of the series the leafs failed to play hard for a full 60 minutes. There core four which lit the goal lamp a lot during the regular season were not they're best players on the ice. They were soft, got pushed around, didn't dictate the play and didn't score like they should have and that is what cost them the series. Not one questionable call on a goal.

Stick clearly in Gudas' hands. Can't believe the refs didn't at least call hooking. 😂

Beniers with over 16 minutes in an elimination game and scored a goal. That's a decent benchmark for 2nd-line minutes.

Byfield broke the 16-minute mark 13 times in 59 games all season. Beniers broke the mark 71 times so far in 93 games.

And Seattle's further along in the playoffs.

Just as a reminder for those who argue Byfield would be ruined. Or that McLellan is "trying to win." Seattle has accomplished more in less time.

I mean shit.....that's a tragedy.....

It's almost....almost....like Berniers, and Byfield, are two completely separate players, with completely separate strengths and weaknesses,...on wait, this is a stunner, two completely different teams, with different lineups, etc. Unless you believe Seattle's objective was to pull a Vegas and make the playoffs right away? Or is it possible, that Berniers was put out there because their best C is Yann f***ing Gourde....

Just a reminder for those who argue that every team in the league is the same, and all prospects are cookie cutters.
