I am glad that we have gotten beaten by the Blues. Now there is no chance that we will take them lightly- hopefully Evason has a few tricks up his sleeve, though the main thin will be getting Dumba and Greenway back, and staying healthy.

They also havent played MAF yet while hes been on the Wild roster

Im not trying to put too much emphasis on it as its one game but agreed it was the Sharks
It wasn't just the bad goal, but he didn't look so hot on a couple of others, and his puck handling decisions were not good.

Yeah he had that one where he had the puck in his crease and hesitated a bit or a brain freeze and allowed a TO because of it

But he also made some good decisions or atleast 1 that comes to mind in that poke check that disrupted that breakaway opportunity

yeah, but it drives me crazy when goalies think they can handle the puck better than Dmen behind the net, more or less taking the puck away from them, then rimming to a waiting opposition forward.

yes, you claimed he may not have looked into placing him on LTIR which seems kind of difficult if he doesnt miss time.
With Parise, he has had a grocery list of injuries suffered throughout his career in Minnesota. He was even having some issues on Long Island.

The only issue that Guerin may have had if Parise got stashed on the LTIR due to whatever was ailing him this year is if Parise ultimately retired.

Since Parise is playing, I think stashing him on LTIR this year would've been its own issue.

Parise has played EVERY SINGLE GAME for the Islanders this year. But don't let facts stop you from making stuff up. Hasn't yet.

Gotta wonder if he played through a minor injury or tweak or what was going on.

Don't let facts stop you from ignoring situations like this.

Also I got to wonder if he just was miserable in Minnesota; I know it's the NY Post but still:

“It’s a great group of people, it really is,” Parise said. “We’re all out there trying our best and playing as hard as we can, playing for each other. We haven’t gotten the results that we wanted, but we don’t come into the rink the next day pouting and quiet. There’s a great camaraderie about this group. And yeah, we’re not in a playoff spot right now, and we’d love to be, but there’s more to life than that. I don’t think it’s gonna put everyone in a bad mood every day.”

Don't really remember any quotes like that other than some boilerplate stuff he said here in Minnesota.

Isles officially out of playoffs.

I think Parise season over if any problem with his back
Isles wheels fell off. I think Lou is overrated and they should ditch him.

Makes you wonder if Trotz became available, would you look at signing him? Don't see it happening, but still.

I like the "old" coaches.
they are very entertaining and seem to get avg players to play better BUT dealing with young guys is a different story ..... I love BB - Babcock - Queenville - Trotz

Flipside
I think Granato is really good with young guys

Besides the old guys I'd take Jim Montgomery or John Stevens
