Y’all see the nhl “red zone” they are attempting?? Seems like a decent way to get more people into it.
A lot of details still to hear. They're obviously not going to do this every night, and I'm guessing it won't be a whole lot different than NHL Tonight does on the NHL Network, minus any analysis.Y’all see the nhl “red zone” they are attempting?? Seems like a decent way to get more people into it.
You go and wash your mouth out with soap.Fleury re-signed for 4 million

I read they were gonna do it when all 32 teams are in play, focusing on hits, dekes and power play. The idea at the very least is a step in the right direction to grow the game IMO. It’s not for everyone but it’s still a good step.A lot of details still to hear. Still, probably an excellent thing to at least try.

I can see your point. I saw the headline as them copying the nfl red zone with their own version of it. I’m not entirely sure how they can spin it into money only and not growing the game but I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out to be just that.Maybe I'm a bit cynical, but I'm waiting to hear "the catch". Seems like all the NHL does these days is try to find a way to make the quickest buck, not the "best" buck. Almost like they've given up on trying to grow and improve the game for fans, and just want to do whatever will get them the money the fastest.
I dont have a problem with them. Theyre championship rings, to me they should be tacky and over the top.Holy crap, those Vegas Cup rings are awful! Tacky and way overdone.

Yes. But how about Sabres Dahlin? 8 years, $88M.The Jets extensions are kind of blowing my mind right now.
Seems about right.Yes. But how about Sabres Dahlin? 8 years, $88M.
Maybe. It seems a little overkill to me. Erik Karlsson is the only D who makes more with $11.5M. Victor Hedman for example has a $7.85 caphit. But overall I think most players get too much money. I guess the Wild situation maybe makes me little biased against big contracts.Seems about right.
Top of the line forwards are getting $12M+ now and it'll only go up. Stands to reason that top of the line defenseman aren't going to be trailing behind by all that much. I was surprised it was that high too, but also figured it wasn't going to be below $10M. He's a 22 year old #1D and got 8 years. It was going to be spendy unless he felt like being "team friendly".Maybe. It seems a little overkill to me. Erik Karlsson is the only D who makes more with $11.5M. Is he really that good? We have players like Karlsson, Hughes, Josi, Hedman, Makar, McAvoy and Lindholm etc. It´s getting crowded at the top 3 fast. I guess him playing in a bad team makes me think he´s worse than he is.He should be a Norris finalist for at least some of those seasons.

He's been good.I stopped watching about 2 minutes after pick drop. I couldn’t stand how much they were pimping the kid before he even played a game.
Want a “fun” drinking game? Take a shot every time they say Bedard? Alcohol poisoning within a minute.
