After all the angst about Meyers signing with CO, and not us, it's turned out to be not such a big deal, at least so far. He's playing in the AHL with one point in 4 gp, and only played 3 games in the NHL this year, again, with one point.

The Flyers are apparently on their 5th ten-game losing streak in Chuck Fletcher's tenure. This has to be one of the worst GM stints of all time.

Hintz with a big 8 year 8.5M extension. Great Player. That franchise looked like it was heading to a rebuild with the Seguin/Benn/Klingberg era getting older, but snagging Robertson and Hintz in the 2nd round was an absolute shot in the arm.

The Coyotes are seeking to build a 16,000-seat arena and entertainment district on city-owned land at Rio Salado Parkway and Priest Drive, at the west end of Tempe Town Lake. The total project cost is estimated at $2.1 billion, with at least $1.9 billion privately funded, and would include two hotels, a 3,500-person theater and up to 1,995 residential units.

Not good, I don't know if strokes can be caused by hockey, but at 35, might be the end for him

Might not be. My niece (25yrso) was experiencing intense migraines for a week. After being prompted to go to the ER, she got a CT scan, which got one of the technicians concerned, so they did an MRI and found that she had a partially torn vertebral artery in her neck. They said that put her at a high risk for a stroke. Turns out she just slept wrong one night which constricted the artery and the additional pressure on the arterial wall caused it to tear slightly. She's on blood thinners for 3 months so she doesn't clot while it heals. If it heals on it's own, she's likely at no higher risk than anyone else for a stroke again.

Does that mean this is what happened with him? No, but it means, the cause of the stroke might not mean it's anything particular in terms of chronic risk. "Could be" some minor thing that he'll recover from and will be just fine. It all depends on the cause.

Eric Staal is 0+0 in 16 GP in Florida. I knew he had fallen off but you'd think he'd at least luck out into one point eventually.

Robertson must've taken not getting that Calder trophy pretty personally. Holy shit.

Incredible player. Makes me wonder what Kaprizov would produce like next to some other good players.

I was thinking, that line he's on is pretty much what we'd have if Fiala was a natural center (and the coach liked him). The star, the sub-star and the old guy.

So you're saying we should trade him to a team with good players so we can have an accurate comparison?:sarcasm::laugh:

Yeah pretty much. I would say Kaprizov-Boldy-Zucc is pretty close too.

Sure, I'm alright with getting a haul of futures.

But what about Kap-Boldy-Fiala?
