Man, how about this Panthers team? Been watching these with a friend of mine who JUST discovered hockey. Her first game was their game 7 vs Boston. What an intro to hockey eh, seeing your team bust up the best regular season team in history, in overtime no less, and then toasting the leafs and canes.

So damn jealous of her right now.

He's been doing more national stuff the past few years, and has also filled in for teams that don't have permanent beat writers on the site. I think he did several Canes articles earlier in the playoffs.

This was why the Athletic hired Joe Smith to also cover the Wild. It frees up Russo to also cover the rest of the NHL from a national perspective, in addition to the Wild.

Absolutely love the Stars getting the crap beat out of them and knocked out on their home ice. It's perfect. Still not impressed with Otter.

It’s a team game. 40 guys involved. Eichel winning 12 cups before McDavid won’t diminish McDavids ability. Means nothing. Many , many very fine players have never won a cup..

It certainly has earned some of that rep, but in my experience, is a surprisingly cosmopolitan and artistically mature city. It's not just the Grand 'Ol Opry any more.
