Yeah. I can't see Dallas doing that. If he were bought out, it would really pour gasoline on that fire about his lockerroom issues. There were rumors of it here, and Arnott made his feelings known about him as well. Getting bought out a second time that quickly would really solidify the rumors. It's the only reason I could see the Stars giving up that fast. Otherwise, the Stars are keeping him.

I'll take Suter over Spurgeon every day of the week for Playoff hockey. The rest of the Wild d-corps is bottom pair at best.

Not a Suter fan, but his contract is pretty reasonable for a steady veteran. Just don't let him take any PP time from Thomas Harley. They can afford a little money for Suter when the Heiskanen contract is one of the best in the league.

I'd sure as hell take Suter at 7.5 M than Goligoski at 9M. For all the criticism he got for the final series, he was good against us, while Goli didn't see the ice.

Kind of a moot point, as I don't think the team would've gone too much further, even with Suter. Our forwards didn't show up, as per usual. I just find it a lazy, motivated, narrative that Suter, Parise, and a bad dressing room was the reason we weren't successful pre buyout. We've laid down like dogs in the playoffs we've been in since then...who's fault is it now? Dumba? Seems like he'd be the easy guy to finger, as he is leaving town.

We need to demand more from our GM, coaches, players, and sportswriters.

Spurgeon, Brodin, and Faber I would all take over Suter. I’d argue Middleton is in the same tier as Suter.

Suter is a terrible dman. Slow. Mediocre at defending. Non-existent threat in the offensive zone. He’s the antithesis of what people want on the team, yet some people still think they shouldn’t have bought him out.

Get rid of the personality aspect, I still wouldn’t want him. He’s just not anywhere near as good as he was since his injury.

I think you are overestimating him based on level of play prior to injury. He has a cap hit under $4M and there are rumors about him potentially being bought out due to his play. If he was a top 4 level dman, that wouldn't even be a consideration.
