Ok.

They've traded away way more futures than they have received, and the futures they received were for players that were pushed out by the players they traded for.

I don't think it's the dunk that you think it is.
It is actually. They also traded Engvall. They are both buying and selling. You can do both.

They traded Engvall because they brought in O'Reilly, Lafferty and Acciari.

They traded Sandin because they brought in McCabe and Schenn.

They are also extremely close to the cap so players obviously have to be going out the door if they are bringing people in. They also got a defenseman back in the Sandin trade.

It's not what you're trying to make it. Get over Owen Nolan.

It's not Nolan. That's another GM, who has shown he isn't that great.

It's the fact that Minnesota could move players and bring in players.

Opposite of what St. Louis doing.

Yotes trade Bjugstad to the Oilers. He's on McDavid's team...good for him.

He’s a nice guy. I’ll give it ten games before Oiler’s fans are screaming at him in disgust, and making him out to be the main reason they are losing , rather than their complete aversion to playing defense.

That's a no brainer for a team that is win now/screw the future mindset. Weirdly enough, we are somewhere inbetween win now and playing for the future.

Apparently Granlund has been flat out bad this year, so I'm not sure if it even makes sense for a win-now mindset.

Move him back to wing with either of Crosby or Malkin and he'll be fine. Granny just isn't a good center, but his game opens up when he's on the wing.

That could make sense. And maybe they are banking on Granlund still having some chemistry with Zucker.

It's certainly a bit of a gamble when he's signed for 2 more years.

I'm so glad I don't live in Vegas. The wife would be at the team store right now picking up a Quick jersey, to go with the 8 other ones she would have bought in the last couple of years.

I won't take her near the Wild team store because I wouldn't get out of it without a MAF and possibly a Reaves jersey.

I think that's because of #97. He would never sit idly by and accept playing for a tanking team, so BG needs to placate him by keeping the team competitive and still building up the prospects in the hope they can come in and continue keeping them competitive through the dead cap years.

Just relocate them already. It's pathetic how they're allowed to get away with this crap. Bettman would rather get bitten by a rabid skunk than give up on his precious pet franchise. They are barely icing a team at this point.

Salt lake city needs a team.
