McKenna? DuPont?Prediction: the guy who overshadows all of them has not been drafted yet.

McKenna? DuPont?
I’m less sure about DuPont just due to age, but I think McKenna is a safe bet. Kid is unreal. You never know.
Based on the body of evidence in the NHL, Celebrini looks more likely to be a 100 point player than Bedard. Other players throughout history don’t really provide a base for predicting more success for Bedard over Celebrini.Well I'm showing you he had a very impressive rookie season and that the optimism isn't just about his draft hype. Lots of great players throughout the history of the game have had a sophomore slump.
The pessimism about him being a generational talent based on his first two seasons is valid, but there were a lot of people who didn't think he was ever going to be that to begin with. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't end up being a perennial top 10 point producer and top 5 goal scorer when he's in his prime.
Put the shovel away. There's plenty of players that over achieve. It's not premature at all. What was premature was ever comparing Bedard to Crosby and McDavid.
Anyone with functioning eyeballs knows Celebrini is much better already.
Celebrini gets an edge for me over being a center that will probably be an 85-95 point player in his prime while also being solid in his zone.
Hutson gets dibs for two, a dman that gets 60+ in his rookie year and so close to so many records isn't luck nor is it anything other than spectacular. He'll be a top 5 offensive dman for years to come and will get better and better.
As of now I'm inclined to put Bedard next and go with the whole of he's in a better team he'd already be ppg but his development might start to be a concern
Demidov is next to me and that's mainly from upside, we haven't seen what he's capable of but most metrics from a KHL POV have him closer to a Kaprizov/Kucherov than anyone in a while coming from Russia. I give him the advantage over Mitchov due to size and more compete
Mitchov is last to me, he's a pure sniper at the wing, probably hits 40 a couple times but his size, lack of compete and the abundance of such wingers makes him last in this list to me.

If you want to think that that's fine, but I was explaining that it's not true that Bedards expectations are based purely on his draft hype.Based on the body of evidence in the NHL, Celebrini looks more likely to be a 100 point player than Bedard. Just because he hurts your feelings doesn’t mean he doesn’t belongHutson doesn’t belong in this thread

may as well toss Luke Hughes and Sanderson in there. Both players I would take on my team ahead of Hutson, and both only 6-8 months older.Just because he hurts your feelings doesn’t mean he doesn’t belong

This thread is about who will be the better player. Not offensive threat. So why toss in a 21 year old defenceman drafted in 2nd round who is having an amazing season with 5 consensus top 3 draft picks.
He’s in the bin of « who is going to be better: Fantilli, Leo C, Ryan Leonard, Hutson? »
So far the only explanation you’ve provided has nothing to do with Bedard’s performance to date. So it does really jive.If you want to think that that's fine, but I was explaining that it's not true that Bedards expectations are based purely on his draft hype.
Ya the rookie of the yr who is putting up numbers not seen in the past 20 yrs doesn't belong.Hutson doesn’t belong in this thread
Not worth taking the troll bait.Just found out Hutson doesnt PK. Another fake hybrid dman who only is out there for offense. Punt him down the list.
*Provides a logical argument*Who cares? Hobey Baker voterds are idiots. Hutson should have won pretty easily. Lok at the final 3 this year. Leonard (a choker). Howard and Buium. This is not a contest. Buium is easily a better player. he probably won't win though.
All this Lane Hutson talk about how people don’t talk about Lane Hutson is ridiculous. All of Canada is talking about him all the time.Yall gonna learn about lane hutson
