Well, doesn't Gary want to do everything to keep the Coyotes in Arizona...:naughty:

BTW: Zdeno Chara, Keith Yandle and P.K. Subban just retired.
My guess is that P.K. will have a nice broadcasting deal lined up.

Hey, if Arizona or Philly win the draft lottery this year and Bedard is still the guy, I’ll take a dump in my favorite hat, throw it up in the air and shoot it.

Remember when we were talking about what we’d give up for Nils Lundkvist? Well, was anybody expecting a 1st would go in return? Dallas btw.
Yeah. I figured it would not be a cheap acquisition. I had him valued at a late first rounder.

While everyone is freaking out about the cost on the trade board, if you had asked ranger's fans if they would make the same deal just 12 months ago, there wouldn't be a single taker, so I don't think the value is that far off.

Having a 21 year old European defenceman playing his first year in North America struggle in limited games in the NHL while playing with a questionable defensive partner is not the best benchmark to judge a prospects ceiling.

While the first-rounder Dallas is sending the other way could be a risky cost, it is way too early to call this trade a landslide win for New York, imo.

Not that risky it's lottery protected.
But, I would have given up a 2024 not a 2023. The 2023 draft is going to be one of the best ever imo.

Kings really think those helmets are a good idea eh?
Vegas was using those golden ones last year and probably will again so I guess they figured it was a good idea. idk how they look live but they shimmer and kind of distract on tv. I can't stand them and hope it's a trend that doesn't catch on.
Kids probably like them though.

Ridiculous overpay. Kamloops definitely has figured out ways to be bad in the past. Looks like they are setting up that for the future too.
By the sounds of it both those players have been drafted as well. Does that mean they traded all that for a season or 2 of those players before they go to the AHL? They weren't even first round NHL picks.

Sounds like Vancouver's getting ready for a complete tear down. Not sure there's anybody on that roster worth looking at but it's always worth exploring a fire sale.

5 years too late to start that. At least they'll get worse and we have a better chance of beating them.

I actually don't mind giving them some points(this season) so they can stay nicely around 8 - 10 in the draft order and (most likely)won't have a shot at Bedard, Fantili, Carlsson etc.

So how about some OT wins against them....:naughty:

Wouldn't be opposed to the Canucks getting Bedard. They just feel like the type of franchise though that even if they were truly awful would never get the lottery luck.

At this point the Canucks don't feel like a rival, just a team in our division. There's nothing I hate about them yet other than we haven't beaten them and Seattle/Vancouver are really similar cities. That may change with time but right now I find Edmonton more annoying as I sense some entitlement from their fanbase with not a lot to back it up in recent times other than having two very elite players (who's prime is being wasted) and they may be in a play off race with us. Maybe Vegas too since they are kind of expansion sisters.

Ufft Juraj Slafkovský out for the season right after reaching the 40 game limit and burning a year of RFA and ELC. Just brutal for the Habs, especially if he pans out further down the line.

Feel bad for the kid. Probably should have been playing in the AHL till he was more physically ready. Took some big hits this year.

Probably a good thing we moved Wright down for a spell who also struggled a little with the physicality and speed of the game (as to be expected).

As a former Canucks fan who cheered for them since 1970, they’re a train wreck of a franchise who will be no threat to the Kraken for at least five or six years. Anchor contracts, cap maxed, no prospects, a front office that contradicts itself every few months, and worst of all a meddling douchebag owner who fancies himself a great hockey mind.
Once the Kraken beat the Canucks expect it to become a regular occurrence.

Douchebag is harsh. Lol

The Aquilini Investment Group have been cited as Vancouver’s worst slumlords. They own massive blueberry farms, where they were caught denying farm workers water and bathroom breaks. Francesco Aquilini’s now grown children all swore under oath that he was physically abusive to them as they were growing up.
Douchebag is apt.
