Jets didn't win for 30 in a row? Mother of Jesus... we would have had a total meltdown here if that happened to us (unless it was a tank year in which we would have been planning parades!)

Yea, they had joined in 79-80 with the other three teams from the WHA. They had also won the Avro Cup more than once, so I am not sure where all their good players went, but they were back to around .500 the following season.
