Jets have a pair of games in hand of the Leafs too... That three game set next week is important.

Also Benning apparently is looking to re-sign Pearson before the deadline. In an off-season where he has to re-sign Hughes and Pettersson with $23 mill in cap space, that's an interesting move.
I welcome the challenge. If the Leafs want to be a top team they need to beat other top teams.

Mason Marchment scores first NHL goal
4 points in 5 games already heh.
I find him a bit slow but maybe in a year or two he will be a pretty valuable player. Maybe.

At age 25 he's probably not going to get any faster... Good for him though, always good to see a guy from the system make it.

Don't think the Leafs are missing out on much though.

Just noticed that because of the COVID postponements, the Rangers and Devils have games 4 days in a row coming up. Not explicitly against each other, just 4 days consecutively with games.

Wow
Ouch. I feel bad for their knees.

Why does every american broadcast look like it’s lit like a high school play?

so dark like old school wcw.

just brutal production

Pens are blowing it. Three goals in the first five minutes and they're about to lose 4-3.

Krieder has 13 goals, and 2 assists. Alright lol

And another 3 point game..
Lafreniere heating up. Good to see the kid get going, I can't believe all those idiots calling him a bust for a slow start after not playing a game in 10 months due to a friggin' pandemic. Blows my mind how short sighted people can be. Anyone who watched him in the wjhc know's the kid is legit.

I feel bad for ottawa. If they don't rehab Murray into an NHL goalie again it's gonna be a weight on them for years
They can easily move on to the next goalie with plenty of cap space to burn. In the long term, improving their overall D will help.

Benning in his presser says he's not negotiating with Hughes/Pettersson before the deadline, yet is trying to re-sign Tanner Pearson even though they have no cap space because of all the garbage contracts he's given out. I can't for the life of me understand how that guy ever became an NHL gm, let alone still has a job.
