Stutzle's passing is so off. He'll never be a center forcing plays and making those bad passes. He already looks frustrated in this game vs the Nucks. In his defence he is playing on a team with no elite talent.

A team low -4 tonight. Since people on here love to jump to conclusions, that must mean Stutzle has zero hockey sense.

Well, if people are really jumping to conclusions, they may say that the top 3 of the 2020 draft has been a bust so far. Lafreniere doesn't seem to be setting the world on fire yet like some people think and jumped the gun fast on. Byfield is day to day injured now and probably would only get a few games in the main roster, this season, depending on how the Kings are faring throughout the season. Stutzle could be the best player on the Senators, but his potential may not be maximized without good supporting veterans that knows how to get things done and he can learn from.

So, tomorrow night Toronto should dress Engvall, and then expect to have 3-4 instigator penalties against Engvall, Simmonds, and Bogosian, maybe Thornton as well.

Just keep making the little POS fight all game long.

jumbo joe is injured.

Honestly if this was not against Toronto I'm not sure it would be a story. Not a MT fan, but no harm no foul. Campbell shrugged it off, not sure why fans cannot

Hoglander was one of my favorite prospects and I'm so glad they're not in our division this year, heh. Somehow, his size had always worked in his favor--he's small enough to stickhandle in a phone booth but hard nosed enough to do it in the low slot.

I'm thinking it's more a cautionary tale for everyone who thinks that every lottery pick should make an impact right away or they're a bust. Lotta schadenfreude right now.

You should read the Sens boards...some of them are already jumping to conclusions.

Good, will keep the more obnoxious ones off ours telling us all about Byfield.

How does that Miracle quote go? "worry about your own game, enough to keep you busy there."

Campbell is going to be out a few weeks but, he was injured prior to anything MT did/didn't do but, I agree it's really much ado about nothing. Media just trying to stir up shit in this particular instance.

You breathe on Hasek when playing against the early 90s Sabres and you'd have a riot. Now you can knee drop a goalie and the only retribution is a 20 page thread on HF full of people calling you names.

Make him stop playing that way. If you beat him up and he continues to do things like this, then the Calgary goalie or Little Johnny can be attacked. This wasn't something where a suspension is in order because you can't prove he did it on purpose but, you know, he isn't a player that is going to try and cushion his fall or even avoid falling on the goalie. If you push him around the goalie, he will fall into them. Tale as old as time except you'd pay for stuff like this back in the day.

To be fair, I'd want any Kings player in front of the net to fall on the other team's goalie if shoved as well. Hell, I'm just excited to see that some of the Kings players seem to know where the front of the net is this season. Baby steps.

If Toronto wants any payback more than winning the game they should target Markstrom for sure.

This crap with Tkachuk is exactly why fighting is needed in this league.

Rough time for the AHL

31 Thoughts: How the Dubois-Laine trade finally came together

19. I really feel for the AHL, its team and its players. It’s a financial mess and an enormous challenge for everyone involved. Last summer, the Professional Hockey Players’ Association (which represents AHL and ECHL players) agreed to pro-rated salaries for this season. Back then, the league was talking about 56 games with 31 teams. Now we know three are out, and no one will play 56 — with the Canadian teams coming in as low as 24. Ontario has not yet given permission for Belleville or Toronto, and Stockton’s team looks like it’s headed to Calgary. One player said he was looking at the possibility of $30,000 pay for four months work, which he said he couldn’t afford to do.

The NHL teams, who recognize the importance of their prospects playing, are prepared to help out to the tune of guaranteeing at least 40 per cent if the season cannot be completed due to COVID, with the PHPA countering at 60 per cent. There were calls going on today to see where everybody stood, but, as you can imagine, there are raw/hard feelings everywhere. It’s brutal.

I kind of feel for them but I'm also like, why did you guys sit on your thumbs for 4 months and then freak out?

It's the equivalent of people not getting back to my Wednesday calls by the weekend then calling me in a sweat on Monday morning trying to make it my emergency while I'm casually sipping my f*** off coffee.

Love Muzzin.
Was shocked the local radio here was saying if Tkachuk dishes it he needs to take it, and they pointed out how it was not like Muzzin slapped it.
All in all was hilarious.

I see a WWE match, Doughty and Muzzin vs Tkachuk and surprise partner.

Of course his gloves don't come off.

All for show.

Pretty sure it is an automatic suspension for dropping the gloves after the game. Auto suspension for an instigator in the last five minutes so after the game is over is even worse. That's why he was so pissed: he couldn't do anything.

Muzzin trolled him for sure and it is definitely hilarious. He knew Tkachuk couldn't do anything and he was also surrounded by his Leaf's teammates. Hilarious stuff.

This can easily be a referendum on Tkachuk being a whiner with the tantrum afterwards, which was also hilarious. That being said, we need to stop acting like Tkachuk didn't fight Kassian or is some guy like Kirk Maltby that has his gloves cemented on. He would absolutely tune Muzzin in a fight and, let's not forget, he tried to fight Muzzin in his first game against the Kings after the Doughty elbow because he knew he could do well in that fight. That in and of itself was a p***y move since he was trying to pick the guy he had to fight for things to be "square" but it is a reminder that he isn't afraid of Muzzin for a second.

I mean, we've seen Muzzin fight. It's gross.
