Watching the Hornets but damn the Devils are down 3-0 to the lowly Caps, at home too... Oilers, Devils, Canes, Seattle... plenty of great teams from last year struggling to start the year, all of whom I'm confident will be fine

Honestly watching Doogie side-step Ovie's lined up charging hit to me was hilarious...the "chicken flap" was OV just trying to save face after being embarrassed slamming face first into the boards
This, This, a thousand times This!!!!

Shit on him all you want for game 5 but game 6 was “chef’s kiss”

The NHL has fully embraced sports betting in sponsors, advertising, fantasy leagues, Vegas odds, and as we've seen with the Canes and Dundon's attempt, in the arena.

I realize it's not allowed, so Pinto broke the rules and has to face the consequences. On the flip side, I have no idea what Pinto did, but unless he was betting on Ottawa Senator games he personally played in, then it's a bit hypocritical of the NHL.

What a fuggin moron.
It's pretty dumb on his part but I will say I also find it a bit annoying when you can't watch or listen to anything remotely related to the NHL without having gambling shoved down your throat.

Since this is an off-ice suspension I don't think it would count against the cap while he's out. So they'd get him back for the stretch run for less than $900k; are we sure the Sens front office didn't turn him in? ha

Did you forget he scored on that play?
You're thinking game 5...that one he saw OV behind him, checked up, and OV got to the puck and got it out front for a goal. And Doogie 100% deserves shit for that.

Game 6 is the one where Doogie got the puck, passed it, and slid out of the way for OV to go slamming sideways across the boards...THAT'S the game where he gave him the "chicken wing" and was 100% due to his embarassment of missing.

I kind of figured it was always because dougie shied away from that hit in game 5.

That's the singular play that made me not give a shit if he came back or not.

Also: Pinto hasn't signed. If he's not under contract but his rights are still controlled by Ottawa, does he fall under an anti-gambling rule?

Where does that line end? If Joey Keane gambles while he's in Moscow, does the NHL suspend him?

Does this count as gambling?
