Hawks are doing a decent job of getting okay vets to play around Bedard but also still be bad. And they're either getting assets with the trades or will be able to trade those guys later. Well done.

Could be. Also could be a Haydn Fleury situation where we passed on Nylander and Ehlers who ended up being far superior players. That’s part of what I love about the draft. You just never know.

That was the thought that hit me. Totally uninformed on my part, just a feeling.

Man, that thread needed a NSFW tag. Whew...

This was my favorite post from a habs fan, lol:

Yamamoto and Kostin for nothing is a weird one.

With our cap space for this year only, that might be something I'd have considered... Yamamoto for 3rd line/2nd PP, Kostin for a little skill from the 4th line in a Noesen-y role? No cap commitments past this year where we have more cap than we'll probably use.

Perry traded to Black Hawks....they are this year's dumping ground (got Bailey too with a 2nd and then bought him out.....I wonder if the Borg considered that move?)

Meh. I would have been very mildly interested in Kostin, but these are the types that a mid team like Detroit needs more of. Not really us.

We get smaller on the winger would be fun to hear about during the playoffs

But what are they going to trade us for Pesce now?
