He'll rename it the Deadpools.

Bret Hart must be so jealous right now. All he could afford was a crummy WHL team.

All of those other options you listed are also unproven at the nhl level. What bearing would their guys coming out of college have on their current season? They’re not going to go into the playoffs with Comrie at his current level and Anderson. I’m not suggesting they so anything immediately but I’m sure it’s something they would consider further into the season. Reimer wouldn’t be expensive and you pretty much know what you’re getting from him.
There are not that many proven options left with lots of the old guard goalies retiering over the last few years, Leafs, Oilers, Devils, Red wings and Vegas all went with gambling on that position as well and I don't see anyone saying Vegas won't make the playoffs with that tandem.

Levi I could see coming out of college and running away with the job, he looked ready last season.

And if Reimer is so great why didn't the Canes keep him?

But yeah if injurys happen like last year they might have to look at other options, for now lets wait and see.

You lost me with this argument  The canes going in a different direction doesn’t mean Reimer isn’t a good goalie. He’s been performing well on a bad sharks team.

Please bring back peace and harmony to the board. I think you need to consult your sensei.

Yup. I'm all about the peas and hominy. Mmmmmmm....

*I may have read that wrong....

Edit: In case I made you hungry:

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces thick-cut bacon
  • 1/2 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 2 jalapeños, seeded and diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, diced minced
  • 1 10-ounce can tomatoes with green chiles, drained
  • 1 15-ounce can black-eyed peas, drained
  • 2 15-ounce cans white hominy, drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro, plus more for garnishing
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 6 ounces 1 1/2 cups shredded yellow cheddar
  • 6 ounces 1 1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack
  • Sour cream, for serving (optional)
  • Guacamole, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a plate with a paper towel.
  • In a large cast-iron skillet, cook the bacon on medium-low heat, turning once, until beginning to crisp and the fat has been rendered, about 8-10 minutes. Place the bacon on the paper-towel lined plate and remove all but 1 tablespoon of bacon grease from the skillet (reserving the rest for another use). Add to the skillet the onion and jalapeño, and while occasionally stirring, cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 30 more seconds.
  • Turn off the heat. Chop the bacon into 1/2-inch pieces and add it to the skillet along with the tomatoes, black-eyed peas, hominy, cilantro, cumin, salt, cayenne, and lime juice. Taste and adjust seasonings. Stir in the sour cream until well combined, then stir in half of the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack. Top the casserole with the remaining cheese and bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until it’s brown and bubbling.
  • Garnish with cilantro and serve warm, either on its own or topped with sour cream and guacamole if you like.

Google says $150m. He's done well with his gin company and Mint Mobile. Some level of partial ownership/financing would likely be involved.
He'll probably take the same approach as the Man U owners (Glaser) who put up about a 1/3 in cash & borrowed the rest of it. Of course, borrowing costs are a lot higher these days.

People make fun of Tapi, but if we had dealt Aho when he suggested, those kids would be making their way through the Canes system by now and in a couple years we could possibly be contenders! That's just math!

Those futures for Sebastian Aho could have turned into anything. One of them could even have been Sebastian Aho!

Ryan Reynolds liquidity isn't enough to buy the Sens outright. He'd be a minority owner at most.

That said, say hello to the Houston Gunslingers.
