It's early in the season, but I feel like I've seen this movie. One would think there might be a problem in the locker room, if coaches are being tuned out one after the other. The big cap hits doesn't exactly help the situation.

I hate to see that happening to a rich team...

...not.

That game was not Ned's fault. At all. There's a reason why Lalonde kept him in the whole game. Buffalo outshot Detroit 46-18. The Red Wings were a complete and total dumpster fire on all fronts.

Who the hell does Buffalo think they are outshooting the opposition like that? Us? And wait you can actually win those games in a blowout fashion instead of just barely scraping by or frustratingly losing in regulation?

I’m sold on Tage Thompson. Been watching him closer and he’s going to be a problem in this league. 6’7” with those wheels and skill, yikes.
Yeah, he is looking really good.

Similarly, the Devils are a wagon right now. Their fancy stats remind me of the Canes in the last years before the playoff drought ended. If they get average goaltending, they will be dangerous.

Yeah, those were the years when people kept looking at the Canes and saying...

If they get average goaltending, they will be dangerous.

I once said last year that Jesper Bratt was the one guy mentioned at the deadline at the time that I would actually had been OK with trading Jarvis for. That guy is so dangerous offensively, but few people outside of New Jersey paid attention to him at the time.
