Yeeesh.
They're getting fans used to the cluttered look so they can add more jersey ads in the near future.
Yeeesh.
Ugh I don't hate there being an ad but if you are gonna have one on the chest then the 50 year needs to be on a shoulder or arm or something. That looks super cluttered. They're getting fans used to the cluttered look so they can add more jersey ads in the near future.
A very well done summary of why Sprong is not able to secure a long term agreement and is a bottom line player even with high offensive production.

Ouch. That's borderline uncalled for.And man I knew Sprong wasn't great defensively, but in those clips he's playing defense like he's in the All Star game.

Excellent video. Sprong is one of the worst players I’ve seen in the back 2/3 of the ice. He screams “I need to be sheltered” as much as anyone in the league. Him getting paid peanuts is expected.
Now Mantha getting $3.5M is a bit surprising. Really banking on his upside with that contract I guess.
Mantha is the kind of guy that teams look at and think "I can fix him"
Sprong? not so much
Yeah, but they can't fix Mantha. He doesn't play hard enough to be fixed at 30 years old.
I don’t mean unrealized upside. I mean the upside that he actually possesses but only seems to get to 5% of the time. They must be hoping for 30% this seasonUpside? He is 30.
sure but that doesn't stop teams from wanting to try
It could be worse. Korpisalo could go dog sledding and get an injury that nullifies his contract. Then Boston would have no goaltenders at all.Bahstin dicked themselves trading Ullmark before Swayman was signed. Swayman still isn't signed and has a lot more leverage. Let the Korpisalo era begin. What dummies.
Yost: Linus Ullmark should help Ottawa Senators put Atlantic Division on notice | TSN
The Ottawa Senators are hoping the acquisition of Vezina Trophy winner Linus Ullmark will solve the questions they've had in net for the last number of years, writes TSN's Travis Yost.www.tsn.ca
I forecast an exquisite level of schadenfreude here. Regardless of whether Detroit takes another step forward this year, I'll believe it when I see it from Ottawa. I think Ullmark is in for a rude awakening for the number and type of shots he will face.
I think Ulmark will be fine. He won't do that .930 sv% he put up a couple of years ago but carrying .910 or higher shouldn't be surprising. I'm with you on not believing in them as a team, though. Ottawa and Buffalo have just been so bad for so long in so many different ways...
