Johnny T got himself down the rabbit hole.

I'd never heard of this company until earlier today when I saw this on reddit...

There's a lot of weird, dumb assholes in the game of hockey, I guess it's no surprise that some of them reach the NHL level.

Grifters gonna grift.

Is it just me or is there some really bad defense/goaltending around the league?

It is not just an issue for the Wings, doesn't excuse it, but seems to be happening to a lot of teams.

Fabbri had a nice goal today.
I don't want to waste time looking it up. But I have no idea who he's playing for. Even looking at the list of teams playing today: Buffalo, Pittsburgh, LA, Toronto, Boston, Colorado, Utah, and Anaheim, none of them ring a bell. I'm sure we traded him with something... but no idea with what to whom...

Rutger McGroarty stamped his feet and held his breath until Winnipeg traded him because wanted NHL playing time. Pittsburgh just sent him down to the AHL today. You were headed there anyway, fool.

got him out of winny and it burned a year off his ELC. Didn't follow this super close but have to wonder if Winny could have kept him if they had just promised to give him a few games last year to burn that ELC year, which has become pretty common practice.

It would have taken you less time to Google it than it took to post that comment 😆

His contract can't slide because he's 20 years old. They could have signed him at the end of last season to burn a season though.

the Wings paying to get rid of Walman looks worse every game

big minutes and universally positive comments from Sharks fans, even in a blowout loss like tonight all the comments on him are singling him out as having done well in the 20+ all situation minutes he played

1) Sometimes a player just needs a change of scenery. It's possible that Walman clashed with Detroit but plays well for San Jose.

2) Sample size. Vrana looked really good for a hot minute in St Louis when he left too, but he didn't exactly maintain it. So let's see how far into the season Jake keeps it going.

The Wings need a ton of work on defense. But Walman was never part of the long term answer, so I'm not all that concerned about whether he does anything with the Sharks. I'm skeptical that he couldn't have been unloaded for a cheaper price, but not much I can do about that now.
