Demko hasn't been very good since his return.

Two games back and he got lit up in both. I'm sure he just needs to get it together after such a long layoff. To his credit Lankinen did a good job in Demko's absence.

But if Vancouver is gonna contend for the cup they'll need better goaltending than Lankinen can provide.

Anaheim unloading Fowler makes me wonder if they're gonna keep Trouba. I figured they picked him up to flip at the deadline. They won't be contenders before his contract is up but they could value his leadership to mentor their three young stud defensemen.

Hynes, Keefe, and Carbery are probably gonna be the three finalists for coach of the year.

So typical Leafy that two ex coaches are having huge success on their new teams. Berube is doing well but he wasn't brought in for regular season performance. His system has made Jenning candidates of Stolarz and Woll though so there's a lot more hope for playoffs success than there was in the past.

The prevailing theory these days is you don't need a good goaltender if the rest of the team is legit but that's not the case here.

Go Leafs Go

🤡🤡🤡

The way to stop it is by shoving him out of there.

With your stick to his face if necessary. But Jarry would rather cry about a legitimate hockey play that's too hard for him to stop because he's not an NHL quality goaltender. Next he'll be crying about slap shots being too hard.

"They shoot them so fast it's almost impossible to stop".

His skate was not stationery, so that was a kicking motion. Everyone with at least one leg, has played soccer and side kicked the ball.

I don't care about the Penguins but moving your foot into the puck is a kicking motion. His skate is still moving while the puck enters the net.

But if side kicks are permitted then it's a good goal.

He did not lift his skate off the ice so not sure how you classify that as a "kick". I believe you are now allowed to redirect the puck with your skate as long as it is not a "kicking" motion. The game needs more goals, not fewer.

Watch at the 47 second mark of the video. The follow through of the skate is clear.

Again, I don't care about either of those teams, just that I can see Jarry's point. The skate is moving side ways. Maybe hockey players can only kick in a forward motion, but they'd be underwhelming on the pitch.

I call it redirecting the puck more than kicking it but I see your point.
