Canadiens forward Kirby Dach will miss the rest of the season after undergoing right knee surgery.
Dach missed all but two games in 2023-24 after tearing his ACL in the second game of the season.

Nashville down 5-2 at the end of the second to the Islanders. Seems like a good time to kick them while they’re down.

16 points out of a playoff spot with all the signings and pomp and circumstance they had in the off-season is embarrassing. They’re lucky they’re in a US market, if this was anyplace in Canada they’d be getting raked over the coals and there’s no way Brunette would still have his job.

I hope O’Reilly is happy with his choice to spurn us for Tennessee. He gets to wind down his career on a shitshow. But he’s got a Cup and Smythe so I’m sure all the losing doesn’t bother him too much. Probably why this Preds team is so pathetic. Too many guys that have already won before and don’t care to try.

Leafs have owned Vasi the last couple of years, but he may have returned to his old self which could be a problem for whoever meets TB in round #1 or #2. As good as Stolarz has been, Vasi has been as good and with 2+x more TOI.

Tampa wins 8th in a row 3-1 over Caps on the road. Lose to them in round #1 and heads will roll.

Dubas down 2-0 early. Pasta with 1 and 1 and now ahead of the best playmaker ever to play the game after a bad start and nobody to play with. Wish we had a player as good as him for $11.25m.

This is why it's easier to win in the south , no one gives a shit when you f*** up as much as you here. This is unfortunately why MLSE is afraid to take risks and takes the simple easy way to win and or lose....

I'm willing to bet that Florida loses today. The bigger point is that Washington lost. Leafs have a good chance to catch them for first in the conference.
There is a much higher chance the Leafs fall behind Fla and TB than catching Washington.

Possible the trade deadline mixes things up a bit, but 8 points in 22 games is pretty difficult to make up

I guess the one good thing is I hope it elevates the Leafs to play hard to the very end of the season.

It should be a fight. Itll get them ready for the playoffs. Go win the division and then f*** up one of the Florida teams in the second round.

Looks like two vs three in the Atlantic will be the third and fourth best teams in the east. The divisional playoff format sucks ass.

It's like the Jays in their division.

It's awful to be honest. Just get f***ed over in these divisions.

They don't really make sense either. I guess there is arguments from both sides and it has to mostly do with being in EST for tv ratings etc... but it's f***ing bullshit.

Always comes down to dollars. Everything does now.

That's my rant for the day... going to have a beer and BBQ now.
