Not sure why we keep acting like only one player with an axe to grind is saying this. We know Friedman said, "some of the younger Blue Jackets were uncomfortable with what had occurred."

Meaning plural and on the team currently. Not one past player with an axe to grind.

Biz also said he confirmed it with a member of the team currently.

Not sure why the impulse is to believe Babcock with his history and insinuate Biz is lying over the multiple players that said they felt uncomfortable with it. And we wonder why this and the old boys club culture is a problem.
So what's the crime here? Making young players uncomfortable? They probably were scared shitless just walking in his office in the first place. Babcock might be a dick, but nothing that's out there suggest that he went over the line.

If he made players show personal photos that revealed things the player would have preferred to keep private, then it's a major issue. That's the kind of thing that leads to bullying and mental health issues and is totally inappropriate for a person in authority to be doing. Now, if the players were told in advance and given time to choose photos they would show, that's a different matter. But if it was literally "hey we're going to link your phone up to this TV here and just look through all your photos" then that's a big issue.

For an example, let's imagine one of the young Blue Jackets players is secretly gay or bisexual and isn't ready to share that fact about themselves. Then photos of them being affectionate with another man are projected onto the screen. Can you see why this could be a major issue? And it doesn't even have to be sexual. It could be political memes, jokes that could be misinterpreted, awkward selfies, or photos that reveal unusual interests, for example.

They are all adults (we are not talking about kids or teenegers here), they have a choice and an obligation to themselves to do what's right for them. Hey here something new, learn to say no. He didn't put a gun to their heads. Enough with the cuddling of adults.

Obviously JD and Jarmo should probably get canned as well. Also, considering Jenner was defending Babcock, maybe you strip him of captaincy?

What a mess for the Blue Jackets lol, and I was legitimately very excited for that team.

Depends on the details here. It’s certainly a huge issue though. They took a chance and it blew up. Only way this doesn’t cause major heat on them is if this stems from past stuff and this was ‘eliminating the distraction’

JD just got there. Jarmo, on the other hand, has to be running out of chances.

There's no way they'll punish Jenner for defending the coach publicly, that's what he had to do.

I don't think Jenner even lied. I bet he was fine sharing his phone. Problem is, not everyone felt that way. Will be interesting to see if this somehow causes a rift in that young locker room.

CBJ only has themselves to blame here. If not this then it probably would've been something else at some point. Sucks for their fans.
