I'm 100% gonna own one of those dumb Ducks jerseys with Zegras on the back.
As the organization goes back to work in an attempt to find a site in the East Valley for a privately funded, $2-plus billion arena and entertainment district, Coyotes president and CEO Xavier A. Gutierrez said Wednesday that the club has identified a half-dozen possibilities that are publicly, privately or tribally owned that would not require a public vote in order to reach an agreement.
“We’ve told (the NHL) that one of the things we want to avoid is a public referendum and everything that we’re looking at is hopefully to have this be something that would avoid that,” Gutierrez said.
Make no mistake, the pressure is on the Coyotes to find a permanent solution and quickly, especially with Utah Jazz owner Ryan Smith waiting in the wings hoping to bring the NHL to Salt Lake City.
Commissioner Gary Bettman wants a concrete plan after Jan. 1, 2024, Gutierrez said, “and based on our timing, we believe that is going to be the right timeline.”
“We remain committed to finding a location in the Valley and in particular in … that Scottsdale-Phoenix-Mesa-Gilbert 101 corridor,” Gutierrez said. “We’re committed to still (having) a privately funded sports and entertainment district with all of the uses. We still want to put our money where our mouth is and build something that’ll be best in class.”
The East Valley is ideal because that’s where the population, corporate and homeownership growth is in Phoenix, not to mention, Gutierrez said, “where our fan base is.”

Coyotes considering several new options to stay in Arizona, planning not to rely on another vote
CEO Xavier A. Gutierrez said Wednesday that the team needs a plan in place by Jan. 1: “No one wants to resolve it more than we do.”theathletic.com
I'm convinced Bettman will put the Coyotes in a practice facility housing 100 fans so long as they don't leave Arizona. The way he's talking, it sounds like they're nowhere close to figuring this out. Just a lot of hopes and dreams.

Wow, sad
Forty-year-old fat guy angry about passing on a Russian kid stuck in Russia, tells Austrian kid he's Hitler.I've never seen anything like it and this is so f***ing dumb.

It's nuts, everyone following the team should have known that Michkov was on the Habs no draft list, it wasn't a surprise.Forty-year-old fat guy angry about passing on a Russian kid stuck in Russia, tells Austrian kid he's Hitler.

People here were saying he didn't suck
He's not good.I don't really understand why Detroit is doing this. Yes, the buyout is cheap but they have plenty of capspace (they are under the cap floor as it stands). Why not take a flyer at him?
Most fans don't follow that closely... they just hear a name that has been tossed around the Russian greats getting passed over for a kid they have never heard about. And humanity is very gross at times. It's nuts, everyone following the team should have known that Michkov was on the Habs no draft list, it wasn't a surprise.
There are plenty of "not good" players on this league. Not all of them have been scoring at 0.5PPG pace consistently through their career. He's not good.
.5 as an offense only player playing next to McDrai isn’t that impressive. There are plenty of "not good" players on this league. Not all of them have been scoring at 0.5PPG pace consistently through their career.
This is just sad. I can understand being disappointed in your team not drafting the guy you want, but why send hate mail to a kid that had absolutely nothing to do with the decision?I've never seen anything like it and this is so f***ing dumb.

We all knew on this board that Habs were going to draft David, but I still see it as a reach and when you factor that in with the fans and them passing over Michkov, who received a ton of hype in the last week or two entering the draft, this makes sort of sense. I mean, still big-time awful stuff and I wouldn't be surprised if some death threats were thrown in there, but I think the Hab fans had built up rage from the Kotkaniemi selection as well, which did not sit too well with the fanbase. Very weird to go after the lad than the organisation, but I gotta admit that I am not surprised by this. Most fans don't follow that closely... they just hear a name that has been tossed around the Russian greats getting passed over for a kid they have never heard about.
