Obviously a shit bag play. f*** that guy. What I did find amusing and just made me think in general was there was some dude in the comments who said that the Canadian was just trying to put his foot on the other side of that dudes leg for stability or something.

I mean. Come on. It's as blatant a stamp as you'll see. But it does make it evident how there will always be someone or some faction of people who will try and find any excuse in any situation. Like why would you want to defend this. Unless you're related to the player or have a vested interest in their success and/or brand.

Slashed someone to the face: unfortunate result, he was swotting away a wasp because he's allergic.

Yup. Remember when Tom Wilson used to make all those big hits? They hit his wallet with big suspensions, and guess what? He cleaned up his game. Fighting didn't matter at all, since he could more than handle himself there.

I imagine he'll be the first of many. Either willingly or otherwise, a lot of Dubas' analytics staff probably won't be there much longer. Especially when you consider some of the names being thrown around for the Leafs next GM.

The guy they need to keep more than anybody is Ryan Hardy. He’s the next superstar GM. If he leaks out, the Avs need to grab him.

Probably more like the ones that go on about Moore shouldn’t have hit Naslund, Bertuzzi has been unfairly vilified and the suspension was outrageous and unprecedented, it’s the Avs players fault because the dog pile is what broke his neck and he’s a malingerer. That particular subset of Canucks fans are exhausting. I had to stop wearing Avs stuff for years after that because apparently some grown men (with all the screws loose) think it’s ok to make threatening comments to a child for liking the wrong team
 
Bertuzzi was a big softie, he just wanted to give Moore a big hug from behind but during the wrap around unfortunately clipped Moore's jaw. Ultimately, it was Moore's fault for putting himself in a vulnerable position by not skating backwards watching Bertuzzi.

I really hope they win the Memorial Cup. At least make the semis since I already have tickets for that and the final and otherwise they are annoyingly playing on weeknights I’m busy or it’s standing room only so I won’t see a thing. I’m dying for the opportunity to be the weirdo wearing a Roy jersey to a junior hockey game especially if they play the Blazers in the semis or final

31 Thoughts pod today on Leafs/Dubas is pretty good. All speculation and gossip but I'm here for all of it. MLSE, Dubas, Shanahan, Matthews, harsh exit interviews, big changes, etc. The way Elliotte described it as Game of Thrones behind the scenes was hilarious and I can't wait for Dubas' first interview or the leaks when he goes to someone as an anonymous source.

The Pens need to stay away and the Sens need to be sold already so they can hire Dubas to run the organization. I need that.

I don't think Dubas takes a job for next season, but him and his crew will be the hottest names in next summer's round.
 
Dubas in Ottawa would be interesting, maybe bring Spezza back with you? Pens are due for a long and cruelling rebuild soon, that will be boring.
