In previous years, the Leafs actually were pretty good defensively. Way better than their reputation, they just had some spotty goaltending at times. But this year, they are just horrendous. They basically have like 1 NHL caliber pairing in Riley and Brodie, and in the top teams that would be a 2nd pair.

Don’t worry, they have got Treliving, he’s really good at letting critical pieces walk away due to poor negotiations, then caving to their replacement

The guy tweeting it is a reporter for The Hockey News (Sharks beat writer) so I would hope he vetted his story. It’s possible that purple is fine (trying to fine just the colour choice is tricky) and the Hockey Fights Cancer logo is fine but they’re weirdly specifically objecting to the standard cancer ribbon instead of their own logo. The other guys also could’ve just done it and worn them without approval like Dermott and he the pride tape where Thompson actually asked first and was denied

In case someone doesn’t understand why the NHL is doing this…they do it to not divide locker rooms or create unwanted drama in the media like last year. They include every cause specifically to not single out the LGBT stuff. That’s just a typical corporate decision.

See the league doesn't want anyone to think they're just singling out LGBTQ+ so they're doing it for everything. We have the best people running this league.

As a fan of team chaos, I want to see Toronto up 4-0 early in the first before giving up 10 straight goals along the way to a 10-4 drubbing.
