Whenever I start thinking about what's wrong with Avs, here comes the Oilers to distract me.

The funniest thing is that Woodcraft is clearly the best coach they've ever had in the past 10-15 years and might be the fall guy. Like how do you get a better bloke than him at this stage? Gallant? What you're seeing is a team that heavily relied on the powerplay that fell back down to earth and their 5v5 game is clearly non-playoff worthy at this point.

I don't know this YouTube channel, but he's providing some great information on Oilers woes besides just goaltending.

You sound like an interesting teacher to have. I can't tell if they love you or hate you. Maybe it depends on if they're Oiler fans or not.

Is he really though? I haven't followed him super closely so I don't know, but judging from the way he talked and looked during the Avs series, I kept getting the feeling like he was in way over his head, and just trying to BS his way through it.

I got overrated Mike Yeo vibes from him.

They've had some bad coaches, but I feel like MacLellan has to be better than Woodcroft right? Hitchcock and Tippet have to be better too, they're just too out of touch for the new style NHL.

He's a good coach, but definitely flawed. He's better than Yeo, but he doesn't have a neck and is clearly in the overrated category. In terms of their coaches, he is by far the best they have had. My argument is that he's eventually going to get fired if they continue down this route and I just don't know how you get somebody better. Gallant helps the defence scheme, but he's shown that he isn't a coach that players want to play for.

E: McLellan definitely is a better coach, but he didn't really play to their strengths which they are under Woodcroft.
