When is Ken Holland getting waived?
He's leaving after this season anyways, they will just let him ride it out to retirement.LOL Oilers.

Honestly, their strategy should be to sign David Ayres so that their skaters feel that they have no choice but to commit to focusing on the defensive side of the game. The Canes played incredibly tight defensive hockey with Ayres in net in order to protect him. Then, after lessons are learned, put whatever marginal NHL goalie back in between the pipes.Time for the Pickard show!
I mean even without hindsight that was… well risky…Remember when I thought I had the goalies of two contenders in fantasy hockey?

Which makes it even weirder. Jack also seems to be a guy who is very much liked in a locker room.Campbell didn't even play last night. Imagine being fired on your day off.
They absolutely had to do something and firing the coach won't fix the goalie situation.Campbell didn't even play last night. Imagine being fired on your day off.
Their issues go beyond goaltending though. I can see why Ken Holland used this bullet instead of firing Woodcroft, but I can also see it backfiring. Not in terms of them getting any worse goaltending because I doubt that's possible, but how this would go over in the already disgruntled locker room. They absolutely had to do something and firing the coach won't fix the goalie situation.

If you and your coworker both shit your seat in the break room but can only get rid of one of you, you obviously get rid of the guy making more money. When your co-employee that works the same gig as you did work that day and shit his pants at the office.

Cal seemed like a solid dude though. If he picked up a bag of coin from some other team, I've got no problems with it. Good for him.It would be such an Oilers thing if Pickard came up, played out of his mind and then they signed him to a decent length contract for a chunk of change just for the wheels to fall off once again.
And then Picard rips off his goalie mask and reveals he was Mikko Koskinen all along. It would be such an Oilers thing if Pickard came up, played out of his mind and then they signed him to a decent length contract for a chunk of change just for the wheels to fall off once again.
His #19 still haunts me.And then Picard rips off his goalie mask and reveals he was Mikko Koskinen all along.
Mustve been terrible in the warm up hahaCampbell didn't even play last night. Imagine being fired on your day off.
Came to say this. After tonight 2-5-1 in their last 8 as the Rangers beat the brakes off 'emWings coming down back to Earth with that mediocre roster
