Maybe because the Stars and Minny are a bunch of unbridled dickheads? Even their "good" players are a sack of shitweasels. f*** both of them for eternity.
Always had mad respect for Sergei Zubov and Darryl Sydor crawling to lie in front of the crease was one of the ballsiest things I've witnessed. But yeah, just no love for that franchise. I'm glad in some ways that the North Stars didn't relocate to Texas until after I had joined the Navy and left for New England. It was an easier time learning the game and I ended up an Avs fan when all was said and done.

I don't know why, but I've been having a hard time watching Hurricane games the last year or two. Just haven't been able to get into that team. I still respect the hell out of Rod as a coach, but just don't think they have the star power to go the distance or capture my attention for very long. Florida though is just a bunch of rabid dogs. I said it before but I can't help but think Pat Quinn would approve of the job Paul Maurice is doing in Sunrise.

It's kind of like NYI, for whatever reason, I've never been able to really enjoy watching them play. Although I adore Roy. The Stars and Wild fall into that category in the West for me. I can watch Arizona or even St. Louis for some reason but not Dallas or Minny.

NYI, Mild, NJ...

All famous level horrible trap teams. AZ did this too, but were never really that annoying for us specifically.

Which team was it that just started playing keep away late in the third and in OT? They can suck donkey balls too.

I've probably seen more Canes games this year than Avs strictly because of current timing for me, they're a super fun team to watch with a college-esque atmosphere from the fans.

When they're remotely good they do have a legit fan base. It's similar to Colorado, but less of a winning history. It's amazing what a Cup can do for a team.

Yeah, I lived in NC for a couple of years after the Navy. It was when Hartford first moved and the Canes were playing way out in Greensboro. But the fans...man they really brought the tailgate pre-game atmosphere on weekend games even back then. And that was a pretty decent haul from the Raleigh Research Triangle.

I didn't think building a STL type team was going to go well.. It started a bit before he got there though. Larkin is not ROR..

They've over achieved similar to our first rebuild.

I'd say he's gunning more for another Tampa or Chicago than he is St. Louis, the two of which, of course, emulated the 90s-era Red Wings.

St. Louis is doing more to prove you should not build like St. Louis more than anyone else. They went on the fluke run to end all fluke runs, and yes they won their Cup, and now find themselves firmly ensconced in the mushy middle.

Winning with high end depth and no game breakers seems to be what they were going for, but they also needed certain guys to take another step.

Devils acquired Jake Allen to get a better chance at getting Celebrini....right?

I think they were hoping for Raymond and Seider to be those gamebreakers, with Larkin coming close to that level. Still could happen but having both of them regress like this is probably concerning for them, though I suppose it could give them some leverage like it did for Colorado with MacKinnon.
