Around the League - 2023/24

Lars Eller has actually looked quite good this season.

The funniest thing about New Jersey is that they have all the pieces to upgrade in net, but it's like they do not want to part with them or something...
 
And there it is.

Cooling on my enthusiasm for Kahkonen considerably. The goal he gave up on Stankoven was beyond terrible. Got super scrambly after that.
 
Johnston with a 5 point night, Stankoven with a 4 point night.... f***ing hell it must be nice to have a late 1st round pick turn into a legit Top 6 forward immediately.


Maybe Ritchie bucks that trend for Avs prospects but some how I just dont think it happens.

If a 20 year old is leading your D core in ice time you've got a problem with quality. Even Cale was 3rd on the Avs at 21.

The Devils were just the new hip team after overachieving last year so they go overrated like the Avs in 2013-14.

Some here said the Devils were a top contender and ranked them a couple levels higher than the Avs. It wasn't just goaltending that made the difference. The Avs haven't had great goaltending either.

Dallas’ drafting is really top notch. They probably have 1 or 2 more guys from the 21 draft that’ll be NHLers. Plus Bourque who is also NHL ready from the 20 draft still out there. As players take steps back, they can just plug in these guys to improve.

They gotta get Otter under control though.

Avs should still hire Pierre Dorion to help fix their drafting, just don't let him anywhere near the front office in any other capacity because holy shit he sucked. Why the f*** would you sign Vlad Tarasenko to a 1-year deal AND give him a full no-trade!?

Damn near verbatim. This f***in bald headed f*** thinks the Avs losing Johansen is a bad thing. As if I didnt need more evidence that this guy just hates on the Avs. This the same idiot that said the Oilers offense was night and day better than the Avs and that the Avs D was slightly better than the Oilers before the series. How did that work out. i always hated that guy.

Mike Rupp's biggest claim to fame is that he played for the Danbury Trashers.

Let me be clear this was the other bald headed f*** Jason Gregor saying it not Rupp. Mike Rupp didnt agree with Jason. He said Walker is a great add. He just wasnt sure why the Avs parted with Bo because he thinks Bo is going to be a stud dman for years. Rupp also said Bo went from playing behind Makar and Toews to now playing behind Dahlin and Powers so not an ideal situation for him.
