If Anaheim gets a win before the Oilers do after they face Vegas and Columbus and after not starting their season until last night against Vegas...hoo boy. They're up 2-0 on Carolina .

Islands in the stream.
The new Scores page on NHL.com is an abomination.

Who thought not being able to see who assisted on goals was a good idea?
It really is a lot worse this season. Harder to find info now, less information on first game summary page, less embedded links.

A lot of the team boards also worse. Used to be able to go right from any board to NHL with the prominent logo above. Now theres a small NHL.com sidebar all the way left you pretty much have to search for. They've taken this from other leagues but its dumb way to go. I shouldn't have to close the oilers page to then go to the NHL page. Should be a hotlink and keeping both pages up.

Maybe they don't have this interface full up and running but you used to be able to go to any players stats from the game summary scoring. Just to see what players have been up to. Now I either have to go to that team, or search the player. Are embedded links too hard?

Love that Phillips scored against the Flames and even better that Francis thoroughly polished his knob in the intermission to rub it in.

2 games into the season and we are already getting the “Matthews is the best player in the league” posts from Leaf fans

You would think they have learned by now

The officials tried their hardest to get Calgary the regulation win with 2 powerplays in last few minutes. You can set your watch to the NHL.

Lost in a shootout, but the Flames hit two posts in the shootout. Bad luck again? Although Markstrom had a good game, so actually not bad luck? But they did outshoot the Capitals, so definitely bad luck.

Although the Capitals hit several posts themselves in the third, so maybe good luck after all? Or was it a bad game because the Capitals should have won in regulation if not for their own bad luck?

Tough to keep track of where the luck truly landed in this particular game for the Flames.

Was an entertaining game though!

They have singlehandedly redefined the term 'recency bias'.

It'd be hilarious if it weren't pathetic how uninformed that fanbase is.
