Leafs goalies are almost as bad as ours. Tre has significantly downgraded that team this summer. Nice to see.

Treliving was always a massively overrated GM. Dubas wasn’t great but the Leafs downgraded on management for sure. Leafs D and G also stink but they’re scoring goals, if they weren’t their record would look like the Oilers

Reaves earning his paycheque yapping in the final seconds lolol

I haven't looked at the league standings even once this year. Usually I look at them about four times a day. Maybe I'm trying to avoid the reality of how bad things are.
lol same. I have not looked at them one time this year. There is no point to look at them. If we go on some miraculous heater and upgrade tending, dmen, I will start.

Islands in the stream.
Talbot is a completely new goalie since getting away from the grip of Schwartz.
Yep. He was a good goalie. I never lost sight of that. Kings really have their shit dialed in. I didn't think they would continue to have the depth as they lost quite a few players but still getting it done.

Watching this game makes me feel the Oilers are a long long ways away.

LA is doing great with our old coach and goalie.
McLellan apparently was Schwartzed too.

Holy shit...he's the real coach killer. Since he's been hired, an Oilers HC never lasts more than 3 seasons.

It would be nice to have some depth.

Trevor Moore, LA's #3LW, has 2 more goals than anyone on the Oilers.

edit: LA's 7th to 13th highest scoring forwards have 32 points combined. The Oilers 7th to 15th highest scoring forwards have 5 lol.

Their top six also outscores the Oilers by 14.

There is no way, they way we are playing, that we would even have a chance against LA in the playoffs. Nevermind Vegas. LA will upgrade still as well.

Wasn't sure how things were going to go depth wise for LA after losing Vilalrdi, Iafallo, etc. As well as Arviddson in LTI.

Thing is last year all of Moore, Grundstrom, Lizotte, Byfield, Kaliyev had kind of disappointing years. Now suddenly all are producing. I had thought a number of these players seemed to be flattening out in development but everybody all in now. I wasn't even seeing this years version of the players last season.

LA keeps getting better. They have a GM that looks at the weaknesses on his team every year and ships them out while bringing in players to make them stronger. Year in year our Blake is making good and logical deals that organization.
